jeg_elsker 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2007 bro, you can find some in vivo city, there's this shop called DC lifestyle if i'm not mistaken, selling flashback chrome colour vibes for SGD115. Otherwise, if you want the gunmetal black, you can get it in apple in wheelock for SGD190. IMO, the chrome looks better and for the price difference, it's not worthy to get the black one. nevertheless, choices are yours. Have a great day ^^. dcool 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 Darn ! I was in Vivo city yesterday ! Otherwise i would have gone to check the phones out. But i wonder if they allow trying. I just want to try it out first before and make sure its up to my expectations. $115 seem much cheaper than those selling in Apple shop. I guess i may just pop by the apple shop to try it out i understand that they have a testing set there. Btw i saw best denki at vivo selling another model of V-moda phones, the Remix M-class. I doubt they allow trying. Its under the Creative accessories lightboard facing the digitial cam counter if anyone is interested.
Fizban 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 I bought my first from Epicentre at Wheelock, and bought the Red Roxx over the net. Took a little less than 2 full weeks for it to arrive. Do note that there are currently 2 generations of Vibes, the first being more natural and less bassy, while the 2nd being much more bassy and less soundstage. No certain way to know which is which, until u buy it and open it up and try it:(
jeg_elsker 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2007 i think mine is the less bassy one -.-

dcool 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2007 (edited) Do they allow testing or trying of the vibes over there at DC lifestyle ? I am not so crazy abt spending $100 over for a pair of phones that i cant try to see how good they really are. To all bros who own vibes, i have found a pair of phones that might interest you guys. So far after running them in for more than 25 hrs ( currently more than 50 hrs ), i found them really good. I have tried all kind of sounds on them, jazz, techno, hiphop, vocals.. and they still sound better than any phones i have tried before. But i still like to know how well they fare against the Vibes. This pair cost slightly more than half the amount of Vibes is selling for, and as for how they look like... i just like to say... you guys might be shocked! I am looking for someone who owns a pair of vibes to try them ( my pair ) or if possible let me have a listen to a pair of your Vibes. If anyone is interested in them i will get them for you. If there is a group buy i think i get a better price. Specs wise : Same as Vibes ! Edited March 23, 2007 by dcool

dcool 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2007 Guys, these are the phones i have been talking about, i found when i was in Hong Kong. They are sold in hermetically ( airtight heat seal ) packets, i asked the shop where they are made in, and was told they are from taiwan. These dun have the braided cords that vibes have but instead they have rubbery-like cords that do not coil up into a mess easily. And so far these are the only colour that they have, which is black and gold, which is not seen in the Vibes collection. They do not have spare ear buds as well. However they have gold plated jacks and also the same tiny ported hole under each ear phone as the Vibes. The initial few hours sounds didnt impress me much, but after running them in for more than 20hrs, the sounds became clearer and bass was tight. After searching the Vibes for so long, i think i finally hit jackpot. But i just wan to be sure how good these are when compared to the real Vibes. I got a feeling these phones are made from the same factory as Vibes. And due to prevent infringement, they make it different in colour and with different cord materials. I cant remember the exact price in HK dollars but i think it abt S$50 to S$60, which i remembered was abt half the price for the Vibes they are selling in SG bc i remembered the selling price clearly before i left for HK so that i can try to find them while i was there. dcool 0 Report post Posted March 27, 2007 hmm..true, but the colour combination beats the T25 hands down Thats what i like to find out too. So far i am quite impress with them. The bass is tight and the mids and highs are clear. I plan to keep wearing them for as long as i can to see how they perform and how long they last. I like to do a comparision with a pair of Vibes before i can really tell how good they really are.

Bro, Do you know anywhere in SG that have the OVC T25 phones that you highlighted ? I like to try them as well. The phone i bought from HK dun seem to have so many accessories as found in the OVC... Mine was just a simple silver hermetically packet abt the size of a wallet, not even a box.. i wonder if i am shortchanged by the shop btw from the OVC site, is the T25 using 2.5mm jack ? Sorry my chinese is quite poor, i can only understand pictures and not the words. Maybe my next trip up to HK i will try to find the T25s. Dun seem to be ex... 120 rmb is ard S$25? That is even cheaper than what i got for mine and with a whole load of accessories with go with !! From the picts the T25s seem to have better quality looking in terms of aesthetics.. Maybe i should go back to the shop and bang table...
