PPkiller 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2007 (edited) should we compile a list of articles for those who wanna diy their own interconnect? i'll get the ball rolling.. The information posted will be in the order of easiest to understand to in-depth theory. All Links in the first post will be towards information and theory. Links in the 2nd post will be experiences sharing and experiment findings . Information and Theory http://www.acousticzen.com/white_paper_2.html A very informative coverage on cable properties used for audio purposes by acoustic zen http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?s=&s...findpost&p=3572 A post by our own forumer fishball79 on dielectric, Magnetic Fields , Connectors and Geometry & Topography http://www.lavacable.com/cable_101.htm Cable 101 by lavacable.com http://www.st-andrews.ac.uk/~jcgl/Scots_Gu...fect/page1.html talks about skin effect, cable diameter/spacing, frequency delay and power loss. one interesting finding is thicker the wire and wider the spacing, the timing of bass and treble reaching the speaker/driver first gets more unbalance(page 5). And also the more skin effect cable has, the worser the treble rolloff(page 2). Edited June 13, 2007 by PPkiller

loop_ 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2007 this is a great idea. Someone should sticky it when all the links are completed, or earlier. I can only think of this: http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/34579/127865.html not really a diy guide, but just tells you not to bother burning it in. Sorry if slightly OT
