Mackie 0 Report post Posted August 5, 2003 If there's a pressing need for EQ, this denotes there's a problem with the overall performance of the system and room acoustics (only speakers rig apply). Most graphic eqs are crude boost/cut attenuators of a predestined bandwidth on each adjustable frequency band. Most users carry out initial adjustments by listening and henceforth, error margins are usualy wide. Parametric eqs are a different story though as it's very useful in attaining a flat response from a less than perfect listening room. On this note, learning curve is steeper but offer more options for micro adjustment.
