CAVEMaN 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2003 (edited) I bulit a test unit and decided to let it go, it is with a full housing and runs on 2 pieces of 9V batteries. the Gain is roughly about 10 and utilises the BLUE ALP pot and Neutrik 1/4. (does not have a knob for the pot) Newly edited as requested my the Mr Rameish, 3 X EL2001 CAPs are from SIM LIM TOWER Resistor from SIMLIM TOWER Jacks made by? I did mentioned, didn't you notice? Output Caps : Yes Opmp: OPA2132PA As i say, this is a test set, it's not so glamorous, nor so nice, just that it sounds good with Beyer DT880 Still going for S$70 Edited August 8, 2003 by CAVEMaN
N@Z 0 Report post Posted August 7, 2003 (edited) Can we see some photos of the unit & the circuit board? Are you using Tangent's board or your own? N@Z, I'm editing your post so as to not make further posts on a classifieds ad. CaveMan, It would help if you gave some specs - after all a META 42 is not an amp per se. Perhaps you could edit your post to include: No. and type of buffers EL2001 or EL2002 Caps type - Elna Cerafine or generic Elna Resistor type - Vishay-Dale, Holco etc or generic Jacks made by? Output caps - if any? And most importantly the op-amp used (an AD8620 will sound very different from 2 x OPA637 on a brown dog adapter). Also because there's a huge price difference between op-amps.
