soundsync 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2009 Alo, Eric Ol Boy! How are the improvements using wooden cups? Hows the difference?
Eric Chia 0 Report post Posted January 2, 2009 well the forwards r noticeable after i put the wooden cups super fast,no laidback and crazy punchy without lossing any detail when playing some rock songs the bass response is crazy! when playing classical it able to revert back to same sen signature but with deeper bass and not so laidback best of all no veil!!!! 3nity 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2009 Ever tried with a balanced drive? If, like me, you're on the 'transparence' side, you will love this amp.

3nity 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2009 wow that amp is so sleek. hows the sound like? very transparent? Yes. I have a friend who runs a recording studio. He's using it with the hd650 all the time as a reference system. So if you are a transparency lover go with ss, if you love colouration go for tubes. That amp is a perfect match for the edition9 too. ical 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2009 (edited) The WA 5LE is even more tempting. Using all the good tubes interface. I've all the best NOS tubes that it use. I wonder how it'll sound after I replace it's stock with 1940's 300B Western Electric, 1950's Mullard 6SN7 and 1950's Mullard GZ37(=5U4G). ical 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2009 (edited) Not at the moment lah. I already have other poison. The NOS tubes actually cost more than the amp. They'll be too dear to use on headphone amp esp WE 300B. Reserve for my future Audio Art Symphony II. Edited January 8, 2009 by ical
