 Confused

Wads the REAL reason? :panic:

EDIT: Zzz... Failed again...

Even though i made sure to solder super carefully, there was no sound at all, only when the tip of the jack is inside, then theres a faint sound...

Sian!!!!!

If you post a picture, maybe we can help. Or if you stay in Tampine or Simei, you can pass me the board and I help you debug it.

Cheers.

I saw his blog pictures, uhmm is not right.... very bad

you solder you component 1 by 1 on the board first, later than you connect them by solder bridge or wires

so depending on how you plan on the board, you can actually have less wires

I think some stuff are just cold solder without contact

Sigh, kind of gave up for a while, exams over now...

Think i'll try again.

How to tell if its a cold solder?

I didn't take a pic of the soldering on the second one before i got pissed and melted down all the solder and screwed up the board.

C'mon man, you can't do DIY without a multimeter. They are cheap lah, no need to steal.

Can buy from Sim Lim Tower. Got lots of choice. The difference soldering electronic circuit and pipes is that you cannot hold soldering iron to electronic parts for too long, they will get damaged, maybe even melt.

Regards

Gah, any updates on your CMOY? Interested to start 1 too. Got all my soldering items and tools as I'm a cable DIYer. Where do I start with? Finding OpAmps and what else?
