I found this link from a fellow forumer. Bought the AW-OP_ada(SMD)B adaptor, for SMD -> DIP. Don't know if it is cheap compared to others. Comments welcome, I am learning too. If you mean browndog adaptors and you're still looking, you can try Koba electronics in the building opposite Chinatown Point. If the aunty and uncle don't understand what you're looking for, ask to speak to their son. They should have it at a price much more competitive than from sources like farnell/newark. I bought a pair of Burr Brown 627s at 25 bucks per chip... where I would've had to pay 27 to 29 (even 40+ for the super-super-high-precision-beyond-use-for-audio types) per chip from farnell/newark. The real ones have 1.0 mm pcb.
