  1. xiaobuaya: I recommend the PX200 as well.
  2. hey is there a team sennheiser smiley naz? heh anyway pardon my ignorance but spgg's in the sp campus right?
  3. how cheap? anyway, those clips look sweet! sadly they don't isolate my dream is to use the px200 on the move and the grados sr-80 at home (after my px100 has a new owner )
  4. av98m: well the px is much cheaper, i guess try sls, red_ryder. much more variety and more competitive prices (i think). before you buy, i advise you to check out the pricelist on this forum. cheers
  5. red_ryder: Go for Sennheiser PX200 for decent isolation and good sound. $99 at Hung Bros, 3rd lvl SLS.
  6. ah ic, so burning in hasn't to be continuous. thanks for ur replies! anyway mackie, how does it feel to own so many cans? i feel kinda bad when i neglect the others. haha...
  7. mackie: it's an extension cord? haha... cmk: i already have 1 which i got for ard 10 bucks. i'm not sure if the hung bros' jack extender's quality surpasses this? gahman: you're welcome edit: i've purchased the px200 from the generous hungs who gave me a $5 d/c for patronizing them everyday for the past 3 days. the mx500 is a great pair of earphones which should be included with every portable source! haha... the px100 sounds good but because it's open, it's not really a true portable (like what rameish said). if you're always on the move, go for the closed px200, which isolates pretty decently. guess i'm gonna burn the mx500 and px100 for the next few days/weeks, until someone wants the latter. thanks everyone!
  8. i'm getting the closed px200 for my mobile use. for open cans, most likely i'll try selling off px100 (or giving it to my friend) and then getting the sr-80s, but i'll audition 'em at the meet. oh ya, how much does a good jack extender cost? any brand/model worth mentioning?
  9. i'll be there! after all, i might wanna buy a better model (grado 60/80) for home use after selling away my px100 n getting e px200 for my mobile usage. but i've no idea at all how to get there. edit- if it's at singapore poly i'll know how to get there.

lekguan- when i burn-in my cans/buds, how do i know if they've been ruined? i've ran them at moderate-high vol before the first 50 hr mark and they sound pretty alright...

    4. sim lim square- fuwell, superpet. 6. supposedly, digital's better than analog. 7. dvds? i think cds are the highest quality medium in the market now?
  13. i bought this pair of cans on 05/01/04 for s$79.90. i have everything except the plastic packaging, including the 2 yr date-not-filled-in guarantee card. selling for s$65, price negiotiable. mint condition, used for 2-3 days, mostly burning-in. rated 5/5 at headroom
  14. that's where i got my cans from when i went there yesterday the guy said he hasn't any px for trials, but when i went there with my friends today, another guy allowed me to test it out. cmk- i'm mostly on the move... actually always! but i do use it at home from time to time. i usually listen to rock. px200's response good? thanks mackie- think i'll sell my px100 off and go for the 200s. oh well... edit- yes it's quite ex. heh thanks ram & lekguan.
  15. thanks i'm leaving both my mx500 on px100 on burn-in when i zzz... i'm burning em straight at moderate level for a week or so.

    audio questions..

when you wallet hurts, wouldn't your conscience as well? heh haha... usually 192kbps is good enough for my noob ears, when you're converting em from a CD, la. i guess the audigy2 is the best soundcard at the mo? lek- regarding the rme, m-audio; those are soundcards for the com?
  17. What I would like to know from PX users here also is that whether the difference of sound quality between both is more significant than how the PX200 isolates. What other portable, closed cans do you guys recommend?
  18. When have I asked you to tell me that the PX100 is better than the PX200? Because I might purchase the PX200 also. Thanks N@Z
  19. Sennheiser PX100: 79.90 at Hung Bros (SLS) Mod edit: Thanks but this has already been posted by El Scorcho.
  20. Based on reviews. I did not have the privilege to try both cans before buying sadly.
  21. 1) more rock than anything else 2) mp3man 3) public transport/home 4) to a certain extent... i guess so?
  22. It's just to convince myself that the 100s are truly better than the 200s. The purpose of this thread is well, to discuss about the PX100/200s? The 2nd post I made is a genuine question. http://www.sennheiserasia.com/product/headphone/px100.html states that there's a "convenient line-in volume control" but I can't seem to find it. Help? edit- lengcm: Yep... Is it true that the 100s sound better than the 200s?
  23. Rameish- Do I have to run in like that continuously? If I adjust the volume, do I have to repeat the entire process again? I won't ruin the cans if I started playing it for a few hours at moderate-high vol before running-in, right?
  24. How's it possible to block the noise when I'm using open cans? Any sort of mufflers...?
