or the creative ep630. for some reason, i now prefer the sound and comfort of the ep630 paired with my nokia n80.

ck7 is more detailed and hje70 is more bassy and fun.

ya, the sony ericsson walkman phones have a very loud background hiss if used with sensitive earphones.

i went to stereo today to pick up a new set of triple flanges.. aron was on off wanted to audition the aurvana actually.. but.. shop was kinda crowded.. and the friendly aron wasnt there.. so didnt ask i think Stereo mentioned stocks will only be in next week.

did you try to wear them with the cables over the ear? or is the design in such a way the cable are not suitable to be looped over the ear? cables over ears will eliminate microphonics. do the sleeves of the er6i or e2c or the ex71 fit on the aurvana?

i don't think its even out yet. be patient.

today newspaper got a Creative ad for the PC Show. price is $239. is it available already or need to wait for pc show?

yea, without creative, goodies such as the aurvana and ep630 (sharp md33 clone) would probably never be accessible to us. and don't count on apple to come out with them.

those defintely look like the super-fi 3. this pic makes me believe so even more. anyway, one of the reasons why i respect creative is they try to bring 'high-end' phones to the masses. the ath-fc7, sharp md33, and now the superfi 3. this shows they actually go find out what sounds good, instead of branding any high-end looking china knock-offs and pass it off as some high end phones.

the sony ericsson w800i/w810i comes with ex51-like canal phones. i think those are the best that comes with mobile phones so far.

well, took my ck32 to listen again today. for some reason, they sound better now. mids are good, highs sounds processed and unrefined, bass seems to be extended now, but not very low. for $30, i can recommend them.

Confirm and double check from Sony Singapore that there is no news and no release date yet on the EX90, just came back from their mid year promotion seminar at Sony HQ. hmmm...maybe that jade giftshop guy is parallel importing them, bypassing local sony.

if you are using it with the ipod video, you can get the creative ep630. i used this combo once, and with the EQ off, the bassy ep630 sounds just right with the ipod video. very good synergy between the ipod video and ep630. i wouldn't recommend the cresyn e630. the cresyn has good midrange, but the top and bottom sounds congested.

went to Jade Gift Shop at shaw leisure gallery. chatted with the guy there and he said ex90sl most probably arriving next week. the jvc fx77 also.

Used to have a pair? Spoil liao? Those doughnut foams not possible to get replacements. Even back in 1993, i dunno where to buy replacement foams. Only choice is to make them yourself. aaron-xp: Dun bid for fun! yup, spoil liao. i still remember the doughnut foam fell off, cannot find. then in the end diy with a normal foam. aiwa used to make really good earphones, their mini/micro hifi and minidisc players were good too. too bad sony bought them over and aiwa was gone.

used to have a pair also. they came with those special foam cover-on that has a through hole, like a doughnut.

i consider it burnt in i think. sound is not exactly the same as ep630, but has the same signature. the sound is a bit brighter than the ep630, but i prefer the smoother sound of the ep630.

yea, in fact i find the ep630 to sound more pleasant. and the cx300 cord is only 1 meter long, which might pose a problem if your player is tucked somewhere quite far like in your pockets or bags.

got it today. only the white one is available for now. black and blue will come in next month. initial impressions. the sound is weird. sounds a bit nasal, bass extension not there, highs like a bit rolled off, sound hollow and congested. only good thing about this earphones is the design is nice. you'd be better off paying a bit more for the cresyn 630 or the creative ep630. i'm guess this means you get what you pay for'. rating: 2/5.

do they produce a lot of micrphonics?

the ck32 is cheap. might consider buying that as well. i did like the ck5, but the earloop was causing a bit of pain after extended period of wearing.

hmmm....i've been buying earphones since i was around 14 years old. must be some kind of unexplainable attraction.
