K i just got a pair of Mogami 2803 with Neutrik Profi... When i first hear it, i find that it helps to further clean up the slight hiss from my amp, i was quite disappointed because at the same time everything sound like much softer. Like i have miss something i hear from the previous IC... I swapped to my previous QED IC and swapped back to mogami and i can conclude that the sound/ music did sound much more open. Soundstage was much better and i am able to hear much more details too when i swapped phones to ER4S.. Everything sound so much realistic... After swapping the IC a few times at the same volume i find that the MOgami didn't really sound softer but it tend to sound more realistic. It gives the amp the most neutral signal... Dun have the brightness exhibit by the QED.. the different is like looking at a photo in the bottom of a glass cup fill with water.. one with ripples another peacefully still or shld i said empty glass?..

Yeah most PCDP and DAP 's EQ and bass boast sucks... they simply increase the LOW and lower the mid and high to make the bass more prominent..... Recently i also bring out my SonY D321 with truth line out connect to GO vibe and then to E5C... i tell myself i will not listen to MP3 again.. but am still thinking of getting a DAP with true line out to compare..

Not only the oil helps to soften.. infact the rubber of the tips absorb the oil and make them easy for insertion. I so much prefered the seasons tips then those new one.. thats why i haben change any new tips yet... maybe until they are black in color

Anyone hear the IC mogami 2803. How does it sound like?? heard lots of rave about this rare cable... How is it compare to Klotz 107 or belden 89259 if all of them are using Neutrik Profi plugs?

thats is the purpose... we wanna bypass the sucky bass and treble processor inside..

I am now listening to the belden 89259 with neutrik profi to canare F12 stereo mini.. it sound quite harsh and bright out of my 640C... but after abt 3 hrds of burn in everything started to tame down.... trying other genres of music to accertain any improvements over the Qunex silver spiral

I have encontered a very good and friendly service from Kingsley.. The guy there purposely took out and setting up a new set of amp and earspeakers for me to audit. And when there is another walking customer, he politely ask the customer to have a seat on the sofa while waiting. When asked for feedback, i also replied a "not so good" comments on the SQ... but i also hightlighted that pehaps the amp and earspeaker is sill in state of unburn etc... I feel kinda of bad purchasing the headphone cover only

I dun think so... Grados are famous for their production of sound from string instruments.. However Stax has more resolution and yet effortlessly produce all the details. They do not sound that magical for strings

Definately STAX... i doubt you woould be able to carry the amp + earspeaker away... Electro static phones are very fast and neutral.. if you compare side by side i beilieve you will find dynamc phones very muddy

I went down to LHS today... Robert mention it is impossible to sqeeze the klotz even to 1.4 plugs.. he recomended Belden 89259 instead....

yes normally get a better headphones first if you have a decent source.. you will hear the most improvement this way.. then later upgrade with an amp , interconnect and source dpend on wherther yr source is good or not... After everything is table buy more CDs to listen..
