Hi all, Dont know much about tube biasing so im posting this ( posted on the loft but want more opinions...) 1) How would i know if a certain amp needs to be biased? 2) Must it be done straight out of the box? 3) If so, it is possible to get a technician to do it for me; no? and where can it be done? 4) I understand different amps have different voltages that the tubes have to be biased at, is this correct? 5) Matching tubes, will getting matching tubes solve the need for biasing altogether? 6) Biasing is not a one-off affair is it? Lastly, where can i get my amp biased? Thank u for your time!

I wouldnt say that. If worn correctly, the PX200 offers superior isolation to the 100. Just that you need to position them correctly to get the isolation effect.

Another vote for Grado - The music you listen to is perfect for the Grados. Or is it the other way round?

Wow Nakedtoes, you lucky thing you..Im comtemplating the 404 with SRM-313 amp. Its around 1900 i reckon. Is the Stax as fast as your MS2i? My guess is transparency is greater than the Grados/Alessandros. Congrats on your new toy.
