  1. High Society seems to be about thematic CDs, but I don't quite like mix-and-matches. Do they have any CDs or series of releases dedicated to a single artiste?
  2. Sold to a nice gentleman (thanks for letting me have a go at your player ) berserk1980: Got it from a local battery retailer, Worcell.com.
  3. TS, try to get a new battery for your player? Worcell sells a compatible one for the H320, which allowed me to keep using mine.
  4. Normally, the connection problems are found near the earpiece, 'cos sweat kills the cable (eventually) if you wear it over the ear regularly. I think problems with the thicker portion are more rare since the cable is quite tough there.
  5. I can't see if my e4c's cables are oxidising, but I haven't had any problems. If the earphones are only a year old, they're still under warranty.
  6. I bought a new battery for my 'dying' H320 just this week, only to realise later that it was fine after all. Selling it at the price I bought it, $38.50. Can help to do the replacement if buyer requires it.
  7. It's probably weird to put this here, but then again, maybe not. I bought a new battery for my 'dying' H320 (works for iPod 1st/2nd gen. as well), only to realise later that it was fine after all. Anyone needs such a battery? Not for free of course, but I can do the replacement if you want.
  8. Circuit City would have been a decent choice, but I doubt their prices are all that low. More importantly, they liquidated 2 months ago...
  9. If it's sold by Amazon itself, should be reliable. If you get it from Amazon Marketplace, got to be careful. One important thing to find out, will the local distributor provide warranty for an overseas set? This is typically not the case, so you'll have to set the set back to the States if there's anything wrong.
  10. Woot, good realisation there. Spend less on the earphones, as others have said, and try going for a better player as well. While I haven't tried the iPods much, they've always struck me as performing better in looks than sound (unless you're using a LOD + amp).
  11. Think that's a difficult question. Is Spinn even in Singapore? Anyway, both have pretty good designs, but the older version of the P3 didn't have drag-and-drop support for MP3. Hope the 3G version improved on that.
  12. I'm quite curious, the usual recommendation is for "what 'phones/sound signature is good for this genre?" but would it be better to find out what signature the person likes? I'm pretty much into the E4C signature for lush vocals, and more recently, the very revealing sound of the ATH-M50, and I would stick to them for any genre.
  13. Relax, most of the hype in this thread has been diverted to Singapura's promise of "full customization of any IEM with detachable cables" Think that's actually more attractive to most people than multi-drivers, once you've been into the hobby long enough.
  14. Certainly got my interest... I've a pair of ER6i, cracked casing and degraded cables, been thinking of doing repair. Somehow.
  15. Just get some silica desiccant, and pop it into a box with a lid, together with the IEMs. Should keep it dry enough. I'm using a candy tin for mine, haven't had any problems so far.
  16. Apologies to interested party for the lack of replies. I just messaged my friend, and he's apparently got a buyer already, dealing today. Will update the thread with any change in status. Thanks =)
  17. Oh, I was referring to the impedance, because regular headphones don't come with such crazy impedances (100,000 ohms vs 32 ohms for regular). Just went to check up on the Koss website, and it is indeed an electrostat: http://www.koss.com/koss/kossweb.nsf/p?openform&pc^es^ESP950
  18. Sounds good, but 100k ohms? Is this an electrostat + dedicated amp set?
  19. (Finally found it...) You can see what I did when you take Kramer's mod to the extreme: http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=6039&st=20 I did it to maximise the treble and take all the boominess out of the bass. Lost a wee bit of bass volume along the way, but I can live with that. To take it even further, you can cut a hole in the foam pad, but again, this takes some more bass away.
  20. You should try adjusting the clips, they can be bent. It's one of their strong points against competitors like Sony - the comfort factor.
  21. That's the time until I graduate and get a job T.T Part-time and holiday jobs barely pay my expenses now. By the way, the pair for trying out at SE, it's the full custom or a universal trial pair?
  22. I'm seriously itching for get this, or even any full custom. Too bad got to wait at least another 3 years for my first paycheck.
  23. Honestly, it's very good at its price-point (heck, I paid only 25 bucks buying from Amazon). If you need a starting point for finding out what good sound is, this pair would be it. Unfortunately, if you have any higher-end stuff (or upgrade in the future), the KSC-75 will show it's weakness very soon. EDIT: very good in a positive way
