  1. I'd think that the Think Tank album is very commercialised.. The style of music has totally changed from their previous albums. So has their Limited White Label "Don't bomb when you're the bomb" LP.
  2. Not really. Neutrik plugs are easy jobs. A little soldering paste or rosin and their convinced. You can choose to leave the iron of low wattage on the contact to wait for it to heat up enough for solder to flow or apply a high wattage iron for a split second and get your joint. It's up to you. I'd choose the latter... Higher temps do give nicer shinier joints too.
  3. PM me your expected price lah.
  4. LoL... You still haven't let me know the details!
  5. Adjustable temp? Coz I saw a really cheap set at SLT. Might be cheaper to buy from there than to pay shipping from Brunei.. LOL!
  6. adhoc: You'll understand when you try soldering onto components like Cardas RCA jacks with a low power iron.
  7. I could do the mod plus other stuff like tidying the wires up, grounding the pot & re-wiring the amp for 240v for a price. But that would add quite a sum to the cost of the amp then.
  8. You can basically get the Goot TQ-70 or TQ-77 from any shop selling soldering irons in SLT. I'll be getting myself a cheap adjustable temp. iron soon though. *grinz*
  9. That'd me recommending the TQ-70/77. It's 20w or 200w depending on whether the button is depressed. The high-power mode allows for easier terminations on large metal contacts that dissipate/ absorb heat very quickly.
  10. Hehe.. You should have gone to the meet. I had the capacitors & my equipment all ready. Could have upgraded + fix your Creek. LOL.
  11. I can make HD600 replacement cords.. But my time is limited.. So I don't indulge in such a project. Especially when I don't even use HD 580/ 600's.
  12. There is a technique to fitting the Neutrik on the slightly thicker cables. Hehehe.... Ask Rameish and he'll let you know what I taught him.
  13. Well.... It's just a paralleled opamp configuration, how difficult can that be? It's like using an opamp as a buffer.
  14. Bet you don't have the Japan EMI, COFFEE + TV album!
  15. What is replacing the Chord interconnects, may I ask?
  16. It's a parallel opamp config. biased into Class A.
  17. Haha.. And there was Benny and his belief that the DT931's sound like the RS-1's. *grinz* Someone's Sudgen is going to be popped open soon.
  18. Their Think Tank album isn't that great. Overly commercialised music.... You should try their older albums instead. Especially from 1994 and before.
  19. I don't like their Blue Platinum or Diamond media for audio. Only their dark blue Metal Azo (not super AZO!) from the past. Their Phono-R's are just about the only decent sounding of the Super-AZO's.
  20. It's just that burning at high speeds causes the pits in the CD's to be more of a trapezoid shape than rectangular. So it can cause jitter errors in some players. But there are also other unexplainable causes. From my own tests, the Black CDR's aren't that good. They're under the Mitsui, Ricoh & Mitsubishi Metal Azo CDR's.
  21. What? I don't understand how I'm involved in this.
  22. Do you reckon you can get the Serpac H65AC? And for what price?
