Well.. I wiped out most of my 30ft on just 2 amps.. He seems to only come on ebay or audiogon every now and then..

Nicely done.. The switch is a wee bit too close to the vol. knob though. I think you could have moved it to the rear since you have a power-on indicator. Anyway, I'm surprised you still have the 5N silver, teflon insulated wire left after such a long time.
  5. Speaking of which, I'd like to see a 6MP, 35mm sized, JFET-LBCAST sensor in the near future.. LOL.. That should give noiseless shots up to ISO1600.
  6. I recommend the following: 1) Goot TQ-77 soldering gun 2) Goot soldering iron stand 3) Kester 63/37 eutectic solder or Cardas Quad Eutectic Solder or WBT Silver solder 4) Desoldering pump. Goot has a few 5) Goot desoldering wick 6) 2 helping hand sets 7) Vice 8) Good side cutter. I recommend Goot or MTC. 9) Wire stripper. Get the plier type. The automatic versions don't work well. 10) Assorted pliers. 11) Digital multi-meter. This can be a cheap $30 model.
  7. A little tweak to picture one. Cut out the ash tray.. It was a little distracting..
  8. Fuwen's got more than 4 dry cabinets at his place..
  9. Used PS 8 CS w/ OptikVerve's Virtual Photographer plug-in. Basically adjusted the colours a little before using Virtual Photographer to turn it into b/w with a little softening. I highly recommend VP.. Most of it's effects are actually combination of default Photoshop Filters. You can also create your own custom settings. A plus point is that it previews effects faster than Photoshop Filters.
  10. Welcome to the jungle It gets worse here everyday Ya learn ta live like an animal In the jungle where we play
  11. I highly recommend that sockets be used. Most of the people buying this board and reading this guide will have little or no experience with soldering. By soldering to the opamp directly, they're very much more likely to damage it through overheating. Also, using sockets will allow opamp rolling so why take away the fun? Last but not least, the sonic difference of socket will not be audible on this circuit. In short: Use sockets.
  12. LoL.. What's your camera's widest? 38mm? I was expecting a 35mm wide on the camera... Hehe.. Well... in that case, go for a Wcon-07.. Frankly, I doubt the difference is that great unless you're into expansive landscapes..
  13. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's possible to get Chromatic Abberation on film.. This is more of an issue with light conditions and the lens used..
  14. My dad bought this in 1989. It's never been used and has never been in a dry cabinet/ box. Just chucked away in the cupboard. It still works and there is no fungus on the lens! Yashica MF-2 Super:
  15. Hehe... I've got an Olympus Wcon-08 (55mm rear thread) if you're interested.
  16. Do let me know how much you're thinking of for the FE-2. I've a campmate with a FM-10. Can ask him if he's interested.. I'm sure he's a good photographer.. Guy's trained in Film, sound & video.. And definitely a super arty farty guy... LOL.. His framing during videos is fantastic..
  17. A little contribution from me: Konica TC-X, manufactured from 1983 - 1985. Seen in picture with original Hexanon AR 50mm F1.8 Prime. This camera is also a mechanical unit and works even without battery installed. Has built-in center-weighted light meter and Shutter Priority AE. I bought this piece 2nd hand last year. Just loaded my first roll of film into it today for a steamboat dinner (camp event). I hope the pictures come out properly. Hehe..
  18. It depends on what you want to shoot. The Fuji S1 Pro uses Nikon F-mount so you'll need to look at lense supporting it. Note that the camera is a converted film body. That means there are 3 different batteries used. One set for mechanical functions (moving the shutter, metering, moving the aperture blades and mirror etc), one set for digital functions (image sensor, processor, CF card etc.) and one more lithium cell for keeping the time and date. It's also a 3MP camera that extrapolates to 6MP. For lenses, you cannot use Auto-focus unless the lens has it built in. ie. Nikkor AF lenses, D-type Nikkor AF lenses other than AF-S & AF-I.
  19. It may not necessarily be true. However, most SACD players lose out to normal Redbook players at the same price point for Redbook playback (which is most music CD's). So unless you have a fairly sizeable collection of SACD's, you may wish to invest in a higher-end redboook player than a low or mid range SACD player. I believe Rameish has a Cayin HA-1 which hasn't seen much use. If you like the sound of it, why not arrange to audition at his convenience and with proper sources (Modded Rotel RCD-991 & RCD-855) and one of the best interconnects (Kimber KS-1020) around? If you like what you hear, you relieve him of it and also get some advice from Da' Man on sources and interconnects.
  20. You can shoot it with slower shutter speed then you have some burring effect like runing water. Yeah.. But I was just mucking around.. My friend with the DV cam took a nice video of the running water... Then again.. That guy is more arty type... He took FSV in poly..
  21. A small dam in the camp.. The effect is actually much nicer on video...
  22. Okish... Doing up a Corporate Video for camp.. Also just completed a video project to scam the school kids into selling their souls for the next decade. LoL..
