  1. With S1-IS (no longer available, must get S2-IS) or S2-IS, you can have optical image stabilizer while shooting video, as well as lens zooming. My F11 is not as good as S1-IS in term of video quality, but already good enough to be watch on TV and the 30fps looks smooth. With F11, no zooming while taking video, and no anti shake or stabilizer. So S2-IS is a better option if you are looking for quality. I would say as good as most prosumer DV cam I made a few DVD movie from the S1-IS movie clip, and it is very good, people won't notice it is from digicam, as good as from DV. For low light, I would say F11 performance is very good. I ever took video in a 3x3 m room, with just a single white fluorescent lamp (not sure tha wattage, maybe 20 or 36), a bit dim, the result was bright recorded video. Impressive But digicam solution is not suitable for long recording, as the file is limited to 1Gb per clip. So for long recording DV is still the king (or JVC harddisk). But digicam movie clip is more convenient.
  2. You're welcome! The highs and mids are the high-end taste of sound, better than my MDR-E888 (it's still alive, and it is my first headphone, still using until know ) The bass not for the bass head, but good for those jazz fans. For bass head get the KOSS portapro, you can't get wrong with it If the bass from portapro not enough for you, maybe you should change the player or consult doctor to check your ear Just kidding
  3. I had that Idea too... but unfortunately the MP4 movie camera still not as good as my S1-IS or FinePix F11 movie clip. So I suggest, for quality sake, get digicam with good movie capability, use virtualdub (freeware) in combination with divX encoder to batch convert the movie clips into MP4, so you can straight away play it on MP4 compatible DVD player. My philips DVD player plays DivX, but only from the 30 fps video clip, not compatible with the 15 fps.
  4. Who takes Who ? ... my 3 years boy, like to take photo since he was 2
  5. Bought a pair for my brother, I like the sound, sweet and warm midrange. Good low bass but maybe not punchy enough for disco or rock music. I think very good for jazz, classics, and vocals. It is also very comfortable. Overall, highly recommended !
  6. Excellent composition Blues The IR photo also nice Here are some sample photos from my new compact finepix F11: FinePix F11 sample photos The ISO setting used, indicated in the file name, the first few digits. Just in case anybody looking for cheap and good compact
  7. Just saw Carrefour catalogue, they are selling Audio Technica ATHCK5 (Inner phone type) at SGD 98.- for 3 pieces pack. 1 Pack has 3 colours, white, black, and red. If I'm not mistaken retail price is about SGD 45.- each. http://www.audiocubes.com/product/Audio-Te..._Earphones.html Until 25 Dec 2005, not sure about the stock though
  8. ISO 100, smart sharpening and auto contrast only, no colour adjustment. Resized with Bicubic sharper.
  9. From my Finepix F11 with B+W macro adapter:
  10. No lah... your pics are beautiful!!! better than those babes
  11. SGD 699.- : Camera + 1Gb xD (Olympus M1Gb) + Leather Pouch My wife use the iXus, G2 stay at home with flash attached, S1-IS for video only. Anyway FinePix 11 also takes good video, about as good as the S1-IS, but no zoom during video taking. The F11 macro is just average, I mean the closest distance, but the detail recorded is very good. Here is 100% zoom crop: From the full frame picture:
  12. Got a new toy, Fuji FinePix F11, I like this compact digicam because it goes ISO 1600 Kopi Time... Taken with ISO 800
  13. Hi Heady, I like it! Simple and artistic! Blues, you really did take good pics lately Very nice color and exposure! But would be better if you have the horizon straight, and use the 1/3 rule Well 1/3 rule is not always a must, just in this case I think it would be nice to use 1/3. Just my 2 cents
  14. What MP3 bitrate you used? If 320 kbps still doesn't suit you, better buy iPod and use Apple Lossless format. Try MP3 320 kbps first with your rigs... Previously when I tried MP3 for the first time, I didn't like the sound quality, and prefer the normal PCDP. But lately I felt PCDP is to big cumbersome and lazy to carry CDs. So after sometime, with a bit compromise, and 'get used to' period, I prefer to carry small Muvo N200 (which sound not as good as my Panasonic PCDP), pair it with my MDR-E888 or ATH-EW9.

  18. From Mount Faber, today... not so nice though, seems cloudy and greyish
  19. Ah Heady... you flattered me Thanks for the compliment! Wow idkfa... that's a very beautiful scenery foto with the right exposure to catch the rainbow Very nice indeed I think the metering is just right, you capture all the detail. The color is natural, it is normal color from a camera. For postcard, it will need color boost in post processing. Maybe a wider angle lens (if possible) will make a better perspective. The Nike shot looks nice, maybe you can put a mouse doll or anything resemble an animal instead of Pocky, it will make your photo looks cute Just my 2cents I imagine if you can put a living mouse looking out from the shoe Really cute
