  1. You can take a look at the settings here => http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/index....showtopic=28124 You can just choose from the "Convert=>Run Conversion" option in foobar. But before that you need to go into preferences and select your LAME directory (There are various versions of LAME). There are also various options to tweak.. like the tagging format you want.
  2. I'm not sure also leh if earphones cable will be exactly the same as his interconnect. Maybe there'll be some tweaks. Will need to check with him first.. best if he can provide me some pics.
  3. I emailed TURBO already. He said he can do something like that but price will depend on length and quality of the connector. Too bad he got no sample to show me though. I am considering it.. will ask him to quote me a price. If too ex then I'll just stick with the stock ones! Or maybe when you get urs then we can do a MO again.
  4. LAME is for converting to MP3. You need to convert FLAC to mp3 or rip to FLAC? If you have a flac file and you wanna convert it to MP3 you can use foobar or dbpoweramp with LAME. But before that you need to download the FLAC decoder.
  5. E5c definitely has more bass than the E500. The E500 has lesser bass but much tighter and more 'balanced'. Using the E5c and listening to the same songs, everything seems to be overwhelmed and blurred by the bass instead. When I use the E5c with my SM3 I can switch off the bass boost. Maybe the bass boost function will be much more utilised by owners of ER6 or ER4. I already felt the bass of E5c is too much for me, but afbug says UM2 has even more bass than E5c! I'll need to try it out myself to make a valid comparison.
  6. A while ago still available on ebay. Now I dun think so... but head fi do have some 2nd sets every now and then. I tot SE posted some deals on iRiver products sometime back? As for iAudio you'll have to scout the shops in SLS..
  7. For ppl who are interested in the E500.. The whole package includes the 1) E500 IEM 2) PTH device 3) 2 cables. (1 short & 1 long) 4) Standard Shure sleeves pack 5) Case I haven't really played with the PTH device. I have to use it outdoors to really know how well it works. It's MUCH bigger than I thought. And also if you attach it to your earphones somehow it will 'pull' it down. I wld rather not carry it along, but some ppl may find it useful. Listened to it for a while and I must say it's good! A big big improvement in sound over the E4c and E5c. Quite comfortable also, although I wld have preferred memory wires attached. I'm using it with the clear sleeves and isolation is good but not excellent. I'll need to try out the different sleeves and angles before I can find the best isolation. If you think the long cable is not enough, you can join the short cable to it too. I'm wondering if it's possible to get the DIY cable makers to make a 'male to female' plug cable to use with it. Soundwise I'll need more time to compare before I post more impressions. Will try to get some pics up soon. Hope this lil info helps..
  8. Guess everyone will be waiting for the price to be annouced.. It's not really cheap getting from US anyway.. I was charged 5% GST using VPOST.. so that makes it almost same price as blackreplica but he got it from Fedex which was much faster.
  9. 440USD = ard 690SGD.. but one thing abt fedex is they are fast!
  10. Most prob they won't ship to SG direct. You'll have to use VPOST I guess..
  11. I'm thinking maxing the volume is similar to using a line-out. A real line out volume cannot be controlled by the DAP itself and will require an external amp. So I just max the volume and use the volume knob on the amp. Anyway the H120 line out is fake!!! The EQ and volume settings on the DAP affects the sound.. so I just use the headphone out instead.
  12. I suppose its like using a line-out, cos u can only control the volume from a line out using an amp. But so far that's the recommendation from a few forums I've been to. Ultimately it all depends on your ears.. =)
  13. Ya.. I set my DAP to 100% and adjust the volume from my amp too. Read it before at Xin forums..

    Shure E500

    Let afbug correct your statement...
  15. Ur E5c oxidise liao? abit... it is a matter of time.. Walau..mine a bit yellowish a bit greenish... looks disgusting... But the cables super heavy duty..
  16. Yup what he said is true.. I sent them an email regarding this before.. earphonesolutions won't ship here directly.. but theres always an alternative.. =)
  17. I got my H120 ard one month ago for a total of SGD300 inclusive of the remote. U really got urself a bargain for the H140!! I bot it from ebay too but no time to snipe.. so did an immediate buy instead. I have no real use for the remote.. if you are interested quote me an offer.
  18. Ask him to declare as gift lor..
  19. Just in case anyone's interested.. http://www.earphonesolutions.com/um2dudrineaw.html Free worldwide shipping for the UM2s...
  20. http://www.dapreview.net/news.php Can find a pic in the above webbie..
  21. It's true that it looks less cluttered. But quite inconvenient for portables cos most likely u dun lay the amp down sideways. Anyway just find it rather weird..
  22. I read quite a bit abt this on Head-Fi. I'm just wondering.. the audio in jack is located at the bottom.. while the headphone jack is located at the top. Isn't it rather inconvenient for a portable?
  23. maybe u might find this thread useful http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=3921&hl=
