You should try the HFI 650. Just gotten myself a pair and it does sounds pretty good even before burn in. Will post more after burn in BTW I am listening it out of my Panasonic Discman.

Sounds a bit like the Sudgen Headmaster. Will have a head to head comparison the next time if possible.

Prehead... seems like that is the only amp that could really produce high current and sound good my other pair of headphones.... DT931....

Rameish you mean RA-1 rite? Add on to the list, the modded Sudgen. As mentioned earlier, very smooth sounding but lack dynamics at times. Can be bright and sibilant if matched with the wrong interconnects.

Not too sure what you mean on the bass but I guess for the vocal you were refering to the sibilance?
