How much better or difference will your HD600 sound from a headphone amp is something we cannot tell you. Everyone has a very difference preference and this may varies depending on time and your mood. We could discuss about the merits of having an headphone amp till the cows come home and at the end of the day we may still posses different preference. The only way you can verify the changes or improvement in the sound is to listen to it on your own. However please bear in mind that changes does not mean improvement.

If you could exceed your budget a little by 75 Euros, you maybe interested in the Corda HA-1. It is a versatile amp with a 0ohm and 120ohm jack. I have tried Rameish's Corda HA1 with HD600 and the stock cable. I am shocked that it sounds pretty good. You may wish to add another pair of headphones to your collection which is the Beyer DT 931. It is a nice pair of headphones for rock or music which require the sound to be slightly foward sounding. The DT 931 is pretty bright sounding and only from the 120 ohm jack of the HA-1 can manage to tame the brightness. The other thing which I need to bring up is the system synergy. The setup which I audition the HA-1 was the Rotel 971 with Kimber Select 1030/1020 as the interconnect. I am not too sure regarding the synergy between your player and the Corda HA-1. Just a couple of question before I make any recommendation. What sort of musica do you normally listen to? Do you intend to change the cable of the HD600?

Ahh yes the Cayin is definitely a good option if you can have it shipped. Well I do agree, the Cayin after tube rolling and coupled to the A3 with a nice interconnect do sound pretty good. THe Sudgen with the A3 and the CD3k do sound pretty good as well. But since Blues wants a tube amp, I guess this option would be out.

Well Mackie if you get the K1000 the RKV should not have any problem drving them I guess.. 2Watts is definately enough... So when can I pop over for a listen of the K1000

Yup, not too sure if I need the $180 BG cap... but for the arms race or caps race between you and me I will add it in. BTW I have ordered 3 additional chasis of the Sudgen Amp. Will be converting it to a dual mono design one channel to a chasis and dedicated power supply for each channel. ... Muahahahaha JUST JOKING
