    advice needed

Sound Card is good enough for your SR60. Pump it up with your EQ settings and off it goes. Ask yourself when you are listening to it attached to your PC. "is it good enough?" The thing with audio appreciation is that it never ends. You just want more. Once you get an amp for it, you'll then want better cables and so on... If it sounds good enough, it's good enough. Unless you got dough to spare.. Listen to your wallet and head. Sometimes I myself don't know where to draw that line...

    got my shure e2c

I am using H340. I need more space!! now i have more than 70gb of music.. haha... I wonder how popular the iriver is in singapore. can feedback?
  4. That was what I meant in my post. Perhaps I'm relatively still weak in my jargons but I wanted to say the same things you wrote. There is indeed a significant differentiation between the soundstaging and image of the two phones. Kindly correct me if I am wrong Best rgds,

    got my shure e2c

Well, when I first got my E5, I tell you, it was thrice the time taken to figure out the E2. But after a while, you can probably do it in seconds. Now I put on my E5 faster then my iRiver loads up.
  6. hahaha so true. Imagine me comparing soundstaging between two canalphones. Though not significantly large to compare(soundstaging), it's still athe stereotype way to distinct the two canalphones. Details Vs Staging Vs Comfort Vs Price Vs Microphonics yea?
  7. Well, I don't intend to buy it(010) at least now....was the hype then when it first came out but i figured i'll save my money for something else since I am still gonna be here for some time. Would definitely get them if I am back in singpore for good. But then with the qualia store here, who needs to buy one since it's always there on my way home! haha...And the japanese staffs are always so polite even if you are not buying. I'll didn't go today cos school was pretty rough. Will go maybe tomorrow or so. Post some pics too I will. With the cute jap babe behind the counter.
  8. Shpongle - Tales of the Inexpressible track 1. Dorset perception This is a must listen. Great track for checking out your gear!
  9. where can I find chrome bags in singapore? I just love messenger bags. I had a nike messenger bag issued 3 yrs ago in a limited run. Can put almost anything inside. Also got one from ripcurl last year that somewhat looks like a duffle bag. Need more! lol..
  10. I've never been to HUNG Bros before cos I started my audio quest outside singapore. Do they let you test try the cans or phones before buying? Whenever I am free, I'll just go down to my fav audio shops and test and test and test till I cannot take it anymore. Even the boss comes up offering me chairs to sit and listen....Ahhh, I really love the service here. I cannot imagine how it's like in SLS. They look at face before entertaining you? Tomorrow going down to ginza for qualia 010 testing with a friend...
  11. perhaps you can be more specific? "which is better" sure's gonna stir up lotsa flame. Describe your taste for music or listening preferences. My experience for them is that shure tends to be more comfortable than etys but once you get used to them, they sit just fine. Soundstaging, shures are better IMO. Etys are just really detailed and sharp, with it's narrow soundstage. Kinda good for acoustic listening. Guitars, violin..etc. Get the shures. They look better! lol. Or you can get both a 2C and a E6!
  12. 2 hrs a day is too short a time to kill the lens don't you think? I used my cd player to run for days for burning in and after 3 years, still good. It's more probably a bad media that kills the lens. Bad CD-R recordings or dirty discs causes the lens to work harder and they burn out faster. My rule of the thumb is never play bad cds. haha...Please anyone correct me if I am wrong.
  13. even after two years old, they still replace it for you if you talk to the sales rep "nicely" about them. Not sure of singapore's rep. But the japanese reps here are angels.
  14. could be if you are using the flanges, the trapped air inside the drivers are preventing the water from going it. I don't think it's waterproof though. I don't even like the idea of wearing my e5 in the rain...
  15. bpribadi< Do you actually wear the RS1 out with your unamped muvo?
  16. Shure can replace them for you free in some circumstances. Worst cases, just pay US$50 for replacement. Have them sent to your dealer in singapore and ask for a replacement. Is it a natural malfunction? Go to them. Shure in my opinion, is the champion of aftersales.
