  1. Apparently, Creative thinks their latest offering to be good, as they have competing products side by side at the PC show for you to pit them against with. But from the review by iDespair, Creative's first attempt at a pro IEM appears to fall flat on their face.
  2. Photo of a flower I took in Genting Highlands with my Canon A95.

  5. Depending on what type of headphones you like. For over the ear type, I recommend you get the Koss KSC55. For those in ear types, you can look at the Senns MX450 or the Creative EP630.

    Hi all!

Welcome. Hope you can contribute your opinions to this forum!
  7. Maybe you can try this thread: http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=3456
  8. If the fitting is not right, you will have to send it back to the US to have it refitted.
  9. Hopefully Sony will wake up and ensure that future production runs of the HD5 does not have this issue.
  10. If you need free samples, you can get it from www.ti.com and they will ship over to you within a couple of days.
  11. The link shows the Ety 4P price as US$330. You can get it for around US$200. So definitely not cheaper.

    Sony HD5

Luckily Sony are not in the construction or auto industry. Imagine buying a house and when the paint starts peeling off the exterior of your house, or in the case of a car, the paint starts to fade ...
  13. Get the MS-1. It is a step above the SR-80. There are many people who had dealings via the Alessandro website with no problems.
  14. Very tempting indeed. Best to wait for the dust to settle first. However, the adventurious may beg to differ!
  15. Yeah, had to replace the pads for my HD497 as well. Cost me $14 for a pair.
  16. From the lyrics, the song seems to be I Wish You Love. This song is sang by the Temptations, Nat King/Natalie Cole, Dean Martin, Barbra Streisand and even Michael Buble.
  17. These UE are dual drivers! And available in black like the Shure E4.
  18. idkfa, instead of the Shure E5c, how about some Ultimate Ears for you instead? http://www.ultimateears.com/custom/item__v...__prod-980.html http://www.ultimateears.com/custom/item__v...__prod-979.html
  19. Ipod shuffle prices: www.apple.com.sg If you are student, go for the educational discount.
  20. No problem on my side as well. With Starhub in Singapore of course!
  21. Really appreciate all the help rendered, guys! Will look into the various options available.
  22. Hmm ... 50 ohm. Not sure if it will provide a noticeable difference to the sound but since the cost of the resistors are only 20 cents, it may be worth a try. They mentioned something like 14 days.
  23. Have ordered the ER-4p. Should be here in another 2 or 3 weeks hopefully. Did consider getting the S instead but at times might use the phones unamped (using it with my PDA) so finally settled on the 4p. Have already fixed up a convertor cable and tried it out with the Koss KSC75. Really help in bringing out the sound from these little buggers. Will build another cable later (gotta get more mini plugs) with 150 ohm instead of 75 ohm and see if there is any difference. Wanted to get the supermacro but too costly! Went for the Go-vibe instead with the AD8066 preinstalled. Will try out other op amps later when my TI samples arrived. Already impressed with sound from the line out of the Ipod mini and the Grado SR60.
  24. Ok, will do so. Thank you for your help!
  25. heady, thanks for the encouragement. Have another question, hope some of you guys might help. Bought the resistors to built a custom headphone cable. To conceal the resistors, after the solder job, I intend to use those sleeve which will contract after you run a flame over them. Will the fire damage the resistor? Will this method be secure enough?
