Rock bands: Skid Row Guns n' Roses Mr. Big Def Leppard Led Zeppelin Rush Heavy/Power/Prog Metal bands: Iron Maiden Iced Earth Blind Guardian Loudness Dio Dream Theater Helloween Symphony X Galneryus Liquid Tension Experiment Sonata Arctica Stratovarius Ozzy Osbourne (Just listen to "Randy Rhoads Tribute" or "Blizzard of Ozz" album, its the power of Randy Rhoads that make it so good.)
  3. I think you can buy used at Clubsnap forum, can save money, haha! Or those standard places to buy locally. TK, John 3:16, MS Color, Cathay Photo. I personally like to shop at John 3:16, ask for Sam. Very good customer service, can test camera or lens until song song, even never buy.
  4. Yeah saw them this morning. Going to audition one of the ts lim mod cdp this week.
  5. Hi, I'm going to audition a cdp soon. I only know 2 things to look out for when testing. 1) The laser pickup, see whether can read cd-r, cd-rw discs, scratched discs. 2) Keep pressing open/close of the disc tray, if noisy, then not good, not sure is this called the term 'transport'. Is there anymore main things to test out? Thanks!
  6. So if I would do DIY, but with no experience or knowledge in cabling it. Is there any place would help me to do it? Like I get a normal uk extension tray with those multi slots, then a belden few metres cable and the plug to cable together.
  7. Thanks for the advice. Guess need to spend more money again. Need at least another $20-30 for that multi plug board and not sure how much for that cable. Would need 5metres of it.
  8. Oh darn. My multi slot extension cord got those power surge thingy.
  9. Haha thanks for the compliment. Wants a cdp lol! Slowly finding used cd63 se/ki tslim mod.
  10. Ooh... I think that are quite technical, I don't really get into too. I think I only got one album got a guest female vocal. Should be the "Light As A Feather" album. I'm more into bossa nova and blues with guitar instrument playing kind. But damn, I want to listen to the Jazz At The Pawnhouse, which so many people have been talking about. Can't seem to find that cd at gramophone.
  11. Sharing several pictures of my equipment. Taken at home using few pieces of white a3 paper as a cheap floppy light tent wannabe. Have a freaking pain in the ass trying to take nice angle of HD580, but dunno how to take in after 30+ mins. My best take is definitely the A900 one lol! A900 F55 HD580-1 HD580-2 SR-80 PA2V2 Blue Dragon
  12. Hmm... Like i've say, i'm a starter into this genre, I may be wrong. But I think its jazz or jazz instrument, maybe towards more technical side I guess.
  13. B.B.King - His Definitive Greatest Hits
  14. Just got into jazz recently myself. Bought several used albums of 2 artists/bands. But never got time to listen to it all. 1) Chick Corea 2) Al Jarreau Listen to some of Chick Corea albums, quite smooth and technical if I remember correctly.
  15. afbug: ooh. Thanks for telling. Didn't read this thread until now that is has been bump up.
  16. Creative MuVo2 -> PA2v2 -> Grado SR-80
  17. Santana - Gypsy Queen (Live)/Black Magic Woman
  18. Maybe you can wash your current paddings a few times and let them soften up. Or buy Sennheiser HD414 replacement pads, its much comfortable as people said, but to me not really that significant though. The HD414 pads can be bought at hung bros at $8-8.50 per pair.
  19. Thanks heady and gin. Will go alcohol stuffs soon. Yesterday used eraser and rub already. So is after eraser rub then use alcohol with cloth and rub?
