  1. I have both the ESW9 and the UE9. There is a lot of difference between these two. The UE9 is a reference headphone while the ESW9 is a fun and travel along type of can. I would not want to take my UE9 out in the cold. Where you live the cold may not be an issue. But have a really really big .... on your face when you listen to them..to me they are hypnotic, they keep me up at night when I should have already gone to bed.
  2. It would appear so...I think it may be limited to the 6g though. Maybe Apple did something inside to allow this type of operation.
  3. Check out this killer device from Wadia for 349$ US that you set your iPod into and it bypasses the internal D/A and amp for high end sound. http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f7/wadia-itr...l-ipods-281975/
  4. The T2 is much better than the T1 in sound quality, at least to me. With these though there has been an unreasonably high incidence of mis-balanced volume controls; i.e., one side having slightly more volume than the other. At least that was with the first runs of both that I had. The T2 did not suffer from this as I could tell but apparently the T1 did. When I sold it, the buyer came back to me with this issue and I had to take it back. I ended up giving it to the guy who purchased my T2 when I sold it.
  5. Great equipment set for a meet and great pictures.
  6. The Yamamoto HA-02 is price at 975$ US dollars in the US.
  7. I must really thank all of you for these more detailed impressions. Enjoy the music..
  8. I guess that is why the Yammy is so good with my UE9s. The UE9s are in my estimation very detailed; therefore good synergy. Thanks for you impressions. But yet, when I compared the Yammy with my solid state AT-HA5000 it was the detail of the Yammy that impressed me.
  9. yotiao I know your focus was on the two MADs but any impressions of the others are appreciated. Take you time and if you don't want to get into it, that is fine as well. Thanks
  10. Can anyone make any more definitive comparisons about those three amps that were silky smooth but different? How different? Thanks
  11. Thanks for your impressions. I especially appreciate your comparison of the Yamamoto with the other amps in your line-up. I also have the UE9 and you are correct that personal preferences play a large part in how one appreciates these headphones.
  12. Have them and I am enjoying them as a very good sounding portable. They had almost displaced my ATH-ANC7s for general listening at my office for me. They are something like mini-Wk5s to me less the large sound image of the W5k.
  13. Be careful about a simple re-termination. For the Audio-Technica headphones this will not work. You will need to go all the way into the ear cups with new cable. The ground wire is shared along the cable length with these headphones.
  14. I heard one of the first that Justin had at the Washington area meet back in July and it was a winner then and it can only be better today in its final version. You will love it's sound.
  15. Absolutely agree with that assessment...but I may have been having to much fun them though...
  16. Note the term BGM on the site's information about the HA-02. This means background music. He intends that it would only be played by very sensitive speakers and at very low volumes if used for speakers.

    EXH-313

I just found a reference to the EXH-313 as using some new audio technology called UST or Ultra Sound Technology. I can't find anything that I can read and understand about this UST. Has anyone heard this headphone and can compare it with one like the Ultrasone Edition 9? I found the reference on the site called He and Bi headphones. This site rated the EXH-313 with the Edition 9 and the Stax 707s, interesting. Thanks
  18. Does this link work for you? http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=268376
  19. Just got one about two weeks ago and love it..
  20. It came out as a 2 input and 3 outputs due to room constraints on the back. I wanted to keep adequate room between the RCA connectors for the larger ones that some people use. You can see it setting on top of the Lavry DA10 which itself is setting on top of the AT-HA5000. I am now able to A/B quickly my amps.
  21. Great your unit is fine. It should be a real good performer.
  22. Here is a link to a Line Router that I have now ordered after sending my Mapletree back. I am getting a 4x2 unit with Elma rotary switches and six pairs of CONNEX- 53452 Tiffanys. Mine will not be polished but natural Aluminum. Here is a look at it, almost: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/ampbox/page5.html
  23. I received my Line Router today, the Mapletree LR-1. Well mine does not work out of the box. My Input knob is not fixed so it rotates 360 degrees. I am in contact with Dr. Lloyd to see how he wants to work this out. I hope that in over-rotating my knob that I have not harmed the internal wiring. Will keep you updated. Edit: Dr. Lloyd has agreed to a refund less shipping. I am returning it. Another HeadFi frient just emailed me an alternative that he purchased and says it is quality. I did not know to ask him first. Art at Amp Box: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/ampbox/page5.html
  24. My Mapletree router 4 inputs by 3 outputs shipped Aug 15. Another one shipped out the same day if anyone is interested.
