If possible, go look for ADA885. This now rare speaker rox... The 8" downfiring subwoofer gives you amazing bass...

i would top up for the buffers

I prefer SOHA on my MS-1... Somemore i need the $$ from the PPA. The PPA is too ex to warrant on my MS-1
-
I have been considering a PPAv2 for quite a while now, but also thinking of going for the Xin Supermacro IV. EDIT: Looks to me like you are using OPA627s. Nice As of fact i am trying to sell mine now

As for the S1- and S1+ connection, can I just jumper them, and connect the switch to the main IEC instead? It will be easier that way. For your info, I intend to run it with the main power with the STEPS Power Supply. Doable....

One thing i am for sure is DIY parts cost in USA is omg.... When parts cost get converted to Sing dollar.. It is always way much much cheaper. -
dun use itunes... the encoder is crap in the first place... I recommend programs using the lame mp3 encoder to encod

Since when does the vol pots got changed to 50k. I built my amp all the while using 100k. I think theres a mistake in the BOM
-
opps the Rk27 is 50k... whereas SOHA uses 100k
-
Theres are limit to high end on SOHA. The amp is spec for budget in mind, the only concern here is the tube quality. Tube hopping change the sonic more than anything else than changing other components. Panasonic FC or Cerefines will suffices here. Silmic is an overkill, so does RN55D. 10 cents resistor from Koba does the same thing as well. Rk27 ship from US only cost ard $27-29. Basically the Soha should nv exceed $100 excluding the case. Any higher than that will not justify the xtra cost for the xtra 1% of improvment.
-
Differcult to say.. even the most expensive item also varies in price from place to place. The most ex item you will get is the Rk27 pots. The tubes are cheap if ya know how to source. With my almost highend soha cost around $70 +

Some modification

yesh foobar... with all the bit and piece plugin..
-
The matched components is not cheap... if we get single and we must match it as well.

As I was speaking with squalle just now.. dont align the jfets wrongly else it might get a blown-up. Btw, while waiting for the board.. all go and secure a Ecc82 tube first. Hi quality tube can be only gotten through ebay cheap. Squalle may have some tube leftover from previous order So far i think siruz, me and squalle and 1 other have built this from scratch. Got question just ask. You may wanna read through this long thread b4 starting. http://www.sgheadphones.net/index.php?showtopic=4263
