it is because you suggested using an unamped mp3 player source, the logical choice would be the 32 ohm version. if you chose the 250ohm and 600ohm versions, you need an amp to bring out the great sound these cans are made for and without an amp, the mp3 player would not be sufficient to drive the cans. So if you have an amp, go ahead and take the 250ohm version

Dt990 is a pair of open cans and its quite big. i dont recommend it for portable usage. But if you really want it for portable usage, i would suggest you get the 32 ohm version as you would want to enjoy it unamped for casual listening

I would like to top up to an assembled buffer too.

how does the um1 perform compared to er6i ?

its quite tight on the ears and does block out a significant amount of noise as it is closed. but it will start to hurt your ears after a while and sometimes the band snaps and a few strands of hair will get pulled by the snapping action.

1. foamies is for you when you feel that the rubber sleeves does not give you enough isolation. you squeeze the foamies into your ear, twist and wait for it to expand. it works like a cork. 2. in my experience, starting you wont push it in enough. you must twist it in, and you will not feel a thing
