  2. WOW! Looks really cool man!! Quite a good price tool!
  3. Guys,I might need a bit of help here. I got a SR-80.ALthough it sounds really great after burn in. But I thinking of changing the stock cable. However, how to pry the thingy open to access to the wires?? Any recommendations for the wires too?
  4. Yeah,I got mine from Burlington Square. Friendly uncle though. But no discount.
  5. wah.. siemens price go up already? the last time i got a pair was 65 each. sold them for 45 each later on after rolling. telefunkens.. they cost 200 a piece WAH!!!! Telefunkens are 200 a piece!? MY GOSH! But I believed the quality is superb. 1 $ = 1 quality. Hehe.. ** Nakedtoes, $70 a piece is not the ex. one. Hehehe....
  6. If I were you, I would carefully carry this amp down to either stereo electronics or Jaben (if you want to consider Alessandros). They will allow you to set it up with their source there. SR80 to SR225, the difference will be there but maybe not as entertaining as a new house sound altogether. You should try everything to see what you like best. WOW! They can let me setup my amp there and test the headphones? Seriously I am considering Senheisser 650 or Grado SR225. I wanted a larger and further soundstage. After reading articles about 225,I believed it should roughly gives me wat I want, maybe. =) Hmm,maybe with my July bonus? Its coming soon!hahaha........
  7. Ehhh..... yah.... $70 each. Inside this lovely amp are 5 tubes,2 are the 6N11 which is now E88CC. Try it,u will love it too! =) However, theres cheaper tubes available too,for eg. Electro Harmonix. Search around the internet, lots of info available! =)
  8. Hi guys! Me again. To share with u something I really enjoy now. I said earlier in my post I had this amp for my Grados 80. AFter sometime of listening, one of my 6N11 tubes spoilt,on the left side. The sound out of it it very soft. So I changed the orignal 6N11 to Siemens E88CC tubes recommended by an uncle in a shop in Bugis. Each cost me $70. I got home and replaced the old tubes. Its easy job to do btw. I'm using my Mac as the source directly into the amp.My music are .wav files. On its first powerup,I let it warm up for around 15mins and I played up music and up the volume. My first impression of this sounds is.. "WOW!" The music that I listened to now with the new tubes are more detailed, crisp and a larger soundstage! I hear things that I din really noticed before. Its at least a 20% increase in quality sound. I really enjoy my music more now.... =) Next thing I need to do is perhaps upgrade to SR225. What do u guys think? Btw,after changing to the new tubes and the better sound,I'm more fasinated by the different tubes in the market and how they sound now. Did a little research and found that Telefunkens sounds really GREAT too!
  9. So cute? Got teddy bear one ah?
  10. This is a surprise cos I don't find it so. Then again, its the whole system that's in concern and not just the amp. Perhaps we can explore this together after you tell us the rest of your system? yO`, I'm using Grado SR80 with this nice tube amp. I'm thinking of upgrading to SR225 to be used with this amp again. What do u guys think of it? And also,I planned to get a Ha1a and use this Xiang Sheng as preamp into Ha1a.What do u guys think of this too?
  11. Yeah,interesting.... I also would like to know....
  12. this CX looks good after reading the review. I'm comfortable to Sen products so far. They make GOOD "sound producers". *TEMPTED* !!
  13. yO`... i'm having 1 Pa2V2 with an Ipod. I don't notice a very big difference when u plug into Pa2v2 or without. The sound sounds tighter, bass is more punchy.A slight increase in the "headroom".
  14. Wil??? Ok,i go source around. THANKS!
  15. yO`,i got this too! For around 1mth?I think. I only find that the midrange sounds abit too soft. THe vocal and the highs are good. The bass is ok,still got room for improvement though. =)
  16. Ohh... so the Caiyin has once again surfaced!? I have heard of this amp for quite sometime already but have not personally seen it before. Is it available outside now?? *wondering*
  17. This is so cute! LOL!! New reference RS-3?
  18. Hi, I'm quite a newbie with headphones so I have a lot of questions to ask about it. I own a Grado SR80 now,which.... sounds quite brilliant/clear to me now.But I am unsatisfied with the soundstage. It doesn't gives me the "front row seats" at all. I really wish to set up my headphone system to make it sound as if i'm standing in front of the stage. But I do not know how and where to start from. 1. I do not know where in singapore got sell headphone amps.I only know about Grado's headphone amp. I saw a couple of threads about tube amps and I really wonder where did these people get this amp from.Pls enlighten me in this pls. 2. I like tube amps. They really sounds PERFECT from wat I hear when i was in Adelphi from the speakers.
  19. Well,I would say its becos the headphones dun appear in Sg just like that? THEY flew here? Air tickets aren't cheap!
