  1. Ahem... I mean to both males and otherwise. Don't twist the meaning of my statement.
  2. oh, biflange as in triflange minus either the first or the last "flange", right? Actually chose the clear flex over the soft flex for better isolation.
  3. $$$ Anyway, as stated before, it is so rare to see someone using a shure/er/ue/westone phone, that once you do, you feel a sense of bonding with that person.
  4. USing a UM1, with short/long comply tips and shure clear flex. Like the clear flex a lot, easy to put on, not too uncomfortable, but the isolation is still not as good as the foams. So do you recommend me to get the tri-flange?
  5. What do you guys think of the tri-flanges as compared to the comply foams/clear flex? Sound isolation? Comfort? Convinience? Durability? Sound? Thanks
  6. Yes, bought the Michael Buble "It's Time", and discovered it was made in China, rahter than Singapore. If you read the label carefully, it says something like it is illegal to resell it outside China, including Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.
  7. Definitely. After all, the guys there are also so helpful when you ask questions. Plus this exchange.
  8. Tower in Suntec has a dedicated room for classical music. Am I slow?
  9. It is already rare enough for a guy to be spotted using such IEMs. The most common would be the stock Apple buds. Second would be those Creative (not too bad though) or Sony. Next, you'll see the street phones/clipon-phones. Finally, the lower end IEMs like cheaper audio technicas and sennheisers. The 1% will be Shure, Etymotic Research. 0.1% will be those Grados and Bose systems. the 0.01% will be the UE and Westone systems (being relatively new in Singapore) The 0.00000000000000000001% will be the Stax systems. (By the way, there's one guy who owns a Omega II in Singapore. He did a full, *huge* review on it in Headfi).
  10. You can actually "feel" the sound for hifi, but not with headfi. Equals I would say, if you factor in portability.
  11. they said this at one PC fair. Can't remember which one though, was held at Suntec. I heard there was a prototype of the Zen nano with this Xfi technology.
  12. Vote only for the party that you can believe will lead you and the country to a brighter future (or one which is not dimmer) ahead. Don't base this on which parties they are from though. Neutral Stance? Don't worry about me though, far from the eligible voting age, still 10 more years before I can participate in the next election (which is held about once in 5 years).
  13. I agree. Those under 21, like me, don't get any cash. Anyway, spending the money may be the right thing. Boost the economy.
  14. Nikon. Not really a new model, but it was done with macro mode. On a side note, thanks Stereo!
  15. Ya, did the whole thing so far. my username is @@ron.
  16. On third thought, if it were an uncut piece of plastic, why didn't I notice it earlier? Doesn't seem to appear on earlier pics. Anyway, these phones are the very ones on the Westone wikipedia page! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/westone
  17. Cable is intact. On second thought, it may just be an uncut plastic. there are 2 wires braided together, so this third plastic piece may be just an extra unfinished piece of plastic. Just hope so though. Will wait for Stereo's reply. Will let the UM1 "rest" tomorrow. Won't use it for commuting. Won't use it on the train.
  18. Will PM him. Thanks. May need you guys' help later. But thanks. Wire not exposed, yet.
  19. Ya, got them from Stereo. So what do I do now?
  20. Did practically nothing. Put them in the case when they are not used, etc. Used them with the Deuter rucksack though. The headphone "opening" is on the top of the bag.
  21. This appeared on my relatively new UM1 (about 2 weeks old). What should I do? Will it eventually affect it performance? Tape it? Ignore it? Or send it back? Still under 1 year warranty though. EDIT: Bigger picture
