  1. For mid clarity, I'd choose UM1, I heard Super fi 3 studio and yes, there's quite a bit of bass, but immediately I missed the clarity from UM1. It's a personal perference thing, go with what sounds best for you.
  2. I didn't have a camera when I was there. But I am certain that the quality of the cables are very good. But the plugs are a little too large for my liking, since LDM+/Crossroads doesn't have much space and the cables are not flexible enough. But for the sound, it's pretty worth their price. Go down to SE and mix and match and see which cable is for you. Then you can examine the cables to your hearts content.
  3. Yes, indeed, you should try Black Emperor if you are looking for bass.

    UM1

The soft flexes should be good. Comfort, ease of cleaning, and good production of bass as compared to the comply tips are a few reasons why I got them for my UM1.
  5. I tried the Ultimate Link Black Emperor and Lady Misty last Sunday with my iPod Nano w/ lineout dock and Crossroads amp. Personally, for 10 bucks more, I'd rather take the Black Emperor.
  6. Personally, I heard the LDM+ and Crossroads, and I must say that Crossroads offers a tighter bass, while the LDM+ provides more treble as compared to the Crossroads, but at the expense for a little lost in bass. For females vocals, LDM+ stands out more, but for rock, Crossroads are better.
  7. Pai seh. UOB <-> POSB internet banking delay. Please check for payment latest Monday.
  8. Ok, I paid accordingly. The rest of you should follow suit.
  9. A Black LDM+ w/ Normal Gain for me.
  10. Interested to sell just your Cardas Interconnect? I'm using the same portable amp.
  11. If you can get a good fit with either the small or the medium grey flex tips, you will be able to hear enough bass to keep you happy. It works pretty nicely for me.
  12. Just PM Jaben about it to see if the offer is still available loh.
  13. Unbelievable price for an unbelievable IEM. I'll make a trip down to SE to get some tips for my UM1 this saturday evening if all goes well.
  14. If I plug in my UM1 to my amp and my ipod nano, people will start looking suspiciously at me. I don't like to route it into my shirt from the back, I just left it infront of me, although it can be a bit short.
  15. I would like to see some pictures. Receipt and full packaging available?
  16. Hi Proton, you should go down to Jaben to test out both (Uncle Wilson is very friendly & helpful), the most important is what your ears prefer, different ppl prefer different sound, for me I prefer UM1 as it has more bass (me bass head lah ). Matching is not so important IMHO as u either keep yur nano in the bag or pocket, so SQ wise is more important. Both also looks not bad. What I mean by "match" is for audio, not visual.
  17. Hi, I currently own a Panasonic HJE50 and a iPod Nano. After several months of usage, I must say I am disappointed with the current setup as much of the bass is non-existant. I am keen to try out better ear pieces (I don't think it's the fault of the mp3 player). I am intending to upgrade to UM1 after reading all the reviews around, but it seems like ER6i has quite a few supporters too. I have yet to try both of them out but will probably make my way down to Jaben one of these days. Is the UM1 a good match with my iPod Nano?
