My Mullard 10M 12AX7 just arrived. If you think the Mullard CV4004 sounds fine than this giant of the mini tubes will give you a stroke! Exchanging it between the CV4004 and the Mullard ECC83, it is like heaven n earth. I've found headphone Nirvana with my Cyber 30 n just a Shinco DVD player as source.

In addition the Equinox gave the HD650 a little more air and slighlty better extention to the treble. Not too sure if you agree with me Sam. Yepp!

Just heard the HD650 with stock cable & equinox cable. IMHO and brief experience with this cans, the stock cable sounded quite good and the equinox only added a little more weight to the sound. This must be one hack of a high impedance phones as I have to pump the Naim Headline V1 knob way up to 1-2 o'clock to get a normal output volume. It sounded totally different from the HD600, more like the HD580 but a little more polish. The quality of construction of the unit tested was however a big disappointment - the moulding was bad + you can see and feel the sharp ridge of the joins, otherwise it is a OK pair of cans, but that is just because I like and have used the HD580 for the last 7-8 years.

I guess 17 is ok but I'll have to take leave.

Will know very soon, expected to be 1K+ because of the PS unit.

Read in the chinese headphones forum that the HD650 is available at Hung Brothers at going for about S$550. Posted by "Eunos" who is a "S'porean". For all you Team Sennheiser fans, it is time to make that X'mas present purchase.

FYI, I was very surprised that the L3000 sounded the best thru Barradio's modded Naim Headline V1 so far. I will most probably be testing it with the new V2 Naim headline very soon.

The L3000 and just may be the W2002 will be there for all to caress, but only if you are gentle . Lengcm n Mackie, if are reading, I'm hoping that you guys can bring the Sudgen and RKV + impedancer to the meet.

I've the mentioned tube that was only used for a few days that I'll like to sell for S$40. Reason - I do not have any equipment that utilises this tube rating any more.

Just bought the W2002, probably be in before x'mas. Just a note b4 any full review, I've found the L3000 2b best matched with SS /hybrid amps (which based on reviews is also quite true for the W2002 as well). I will love to listen to it with the Sudgen or RKV if given the opportunity. IMHO the L3000 gives you this ultra big + full bodied presentation of any kind of music when compared to any of the cans that I've listened to before, and it will definitely make you wet in your pants. Especially musical with acoutic instruments like the piano/strings. The best sounding "Prodigy" + "Crystal Method" I've heard so far on any setup, not to mention bass 2 move your bowels too.

Was last quoted S$4K+ for the EMC-1UP. I reckon the 2K+ for a 24/96 EMC-1 is a fair price.
