normally i don' try to take naps on the train if i'm wearing them. i think maybe a few of us have been cranking the up volume a bit too high even though they are IEMs? but in all, so far so good.....i've not missed a stop yet. (walking on thin ice though)

Yup the plastic plus rubbery smell lol. i juz leave it in the open to air and wipe it with some antiseptic wet tissue once in a while and now it's much better. Tried the the demo Go-Vibe with the sf5pro today at Jaben. i cant really find any significant improvements IMHO. Theory87 did made a point about it. The configuration i used was a laptop-->Fubar-->Go Vibe--->sf5pro. Maybe its due to the overdosage of previous audtioning of the set up using the HD600.

Finally visted Jaben today to give the Fubar and Cute Beyond a try in conjunction with my HD600. Played Led Zep, Fourplay and some E. Clapton's songs from his Cream days, was please with the warm and lush sound. The SQ was smooth and everything seems to gel well together. Also get to try out the Go-Vibe using the same configuration and found that the amp offers clarity and brightness but it sounds kinda digital and lacks the "richness" to me. I felt the 1st configuration was also less fatiguing as compared to the 2nd. I know it might not be fair to make such comparison btw the 2 given their different usage, but in all these are juz my IMHO and i ended up buying both the Fubar (Grey) and Cute Beyond. Many thanks and kudos to Wilson for loaning the demo Cute Beyond to me due to the supply shortage, his advice & comments, impeccable service and a price that i juz couldn't reject (the "pricing" situation during payment was kinda funny lol). What can i say, he really lives up to the reputation as mentioned by fellow forumners. Cheers (Happy camper)

UE started off by targeting artistes who just have too much cash to spare. whats 900 bucks to them man? and when normal consumers started to notice the availability of the pdt, UE would still have to set a relatively high benchmark price in order to maintain the "atristes' choice of IEM" status and their profit margins. juz too bad for the ordinary citizens like us though.

i for one is not a big fan of the nano find it too feminine. cant store a lot of songs if u format the mp3 to AAC 320kbps. worse still if its apple lossless.

many thanks for the suggestions guys! did a check on the Stello DA100, its like USD695? kinda beyond me coz i;m not sure if i'm willing to take such a deep plunge into the unknown. correct me if i'm wrong tink i saw the Corda Aria at SE? hows the SQ when driven by it? the fubar and icute will add up to about to about USD290. pretty economical i tink, unless there is better alternatives around?? scanfiend, i bet uncle wilson gave u an offer u cant reject? u played it thru ur notebk or the PC in Jaben?

lol well...once in a while i do get weird looks from ppl in the MRT. tink UE is coming up with a triple driver universal IEM which is rumoured to be out in october. really do hope they improve the ergonomics, maybe make it less protuding? n pls...no more white...enuf of ipods man.

i think fourplay is considered as smooth jazz. u can try their latest album "X", pretty good i muz say. made up of Bob James (keyboards), Nathan East (bass), and Harvey Mason (drums) and Larry Carlton (guitar and a.ka. mr 335) like what Braxton said, they r good.

Yup Led Zep, the greatest rock band in history IMO try Deep Purple and Van Halen too.
