Well, I tried selling one of my friend's MD player and they offered it $60 for it. After some time, I saw another of the same model at about $130 for sale. So I guess your pdcp player won't be worth much if you sell at cash converters. Maybe at most 30-40. Don't try looking for Hifi stuff there too. Mostly receivers and home theater that are antique and lousy brand. Haven't seen any of the much touted tube marantz amps there too. Hahaha, just jocking lah, I'm quite happy with mine pcdp Anyway, you have to be very lucky to find anything useful there, I used to saw a bow there, but I don't have place to store and play it

Yeh, I don't like "bright" sound, two way to explain this;) On good side, I'm still very young and my ear still too sensitive to high frequency On bad side, I'm too old to stand the energy inside the music and begin to prefer mellow sound hohoho So you have to DIY BTW, where can audit the D66? And I think the most important quality of a gear is the ability to make you move, the rhythm and pace counts.

I don't have chance to listen to D66, but from what I read, I think px200 is more suit me.

I think the noise from headphone jack have some thing to do with the design, some jack is designed to drive high impedance phones, if you use low impedance phone, the noise occurs. My old denon dm3 used to have noise when use earbuds, but don't when used with hd525; My cyrus 7 have slight noise for W100 and 1000, but it's silent for K501, and if I use my diy 4p-4s cable, the noise for W1000 disappear; W100 and 1000 have louder noise out of jack 2 (0 ohm) than jack 1 (64 ohm) of Creek 11se, and K501 is total silent out of two; When I use mx500, the volumn control can clear most noise from jacks (my tv for example). So, the suggestion is everybody do a 4p-4s for your self, it's easy and good.

Wow, that's sounds cool! But I just got myself a px200 for protable and office use, it's smaller in size and not as funky as D66, won't catch too much eyes (I'm too old to be funky ). Sound wise, head-fi people said D66 got better treble and less bass than px200, I don't find px200 dark, it's a kind of very natural sound, better than ksc35 for me (tighter bass, better mid and high, but don't have ksc35 type of sound stage to make you feel it's a full size phone). So the chances are that D66 maybe too bright for me, but for the price at here in Singapore, it is a nice phone to own

px200 is a very good phone, I just got one for less than one week and I love it, I'll write my impression later. Where did you buy it from?

Check the "Gramphone"(? wrong spelling) at "specialist shopping centre" (orchid road), they got quit some hifi cds, also can check adelfi, there are two hifi cd shops at 4th and 5th storey, they may have. "Sambawang cd shop" also have hifi section.

Sure the W1000 will do the job for you. Compare to 501, the 1000 has much more deep and tight bass, more fine and extended high, for mid, they are different, but equally good while 1000 is more transparent and detailed. I still keep the 501 because I may miss that different kind of sound someday, I still need a open and cooler can sometimes, 501 is still a great can on it's own way and I love it. I don't think I can sell it for much so I just keep it for fun. It's hurt to let something so good go

The fun part here is that when I was auditing the W1000 and the DT880, I found 880 to be strident instead of 1000, so, it sounds like everybody is different, amps also makes different, maybe even wheather makes different? Ablaze, maybe after this SARS, we can arrange a comparison of my 1000 and your 3000? I'm also looking forward to try my 1000 with Rameish's corda amp after SARS crisis.

Peter of electrade once ask me whether I want a second hand headmaster for S$1000 from his friend, but I just bought the W1000 and short of excuse to spend more, and the headmaster is not so nice for K501. Oops, I can't speak! What happened to my mouth? Help, help...
