It out perform my Hornet and Dr Jan's active balanced ground really rocks!!!
  2. So, anyone got this gem after much enquiry about its price and where to buy?
  3. Burn in for about 100 hrs now, soundstage is very impressive, need further burning for the bass to tighten up. I'm very impress with it when driving using Meier Concerto. The active balance ground really has a big impact with the overall sound.
  4. Fully agreed, 2 nights ago, log onto Sistic, only left with $288 tickets. The rest of category all got!
  5. 2nd attempt using Belkin shielded USB2 wire reviews good sound quality too.
  6. Koba sells MK (hospital grade) 13A 3 pin plug at $13 and for the IEC female plug, I would suggest you go to LHS. As Koba stock is not good in quality.
  7. Good things does happen locally!!!! Instead of doing the pre-order online wait for this beauty, you can now get it locally via it in less than 24 hrs : Contact : David Tan (h/p : 98186448), email dnaintl@pacific.net.sg Please note that I'm just doing him a favour and just got my pair of LCD-2 today.
  8. I'm very happy with the sound, now that it is burn-in to about 300 hrs. I've made my own iPod docking cable with Cat5e and a shielded USB2 cable. Both sound much better than the original cable from Apple. The built-in DAC is fantastic! On a good recording, the lossless sounds just as good as the CD itself. Coming from the audiophile point of view, this player is definitely worth at least 2 times its price, for both the function and sound quality. Well, my next exploration, is the Audeze LCD-2!!
  9. Hi, as per your request to add in my order on this thread : 1) Audeze LCD-2 replacement cable with: a) CryoPart Custom Carbon 1/4" connector 6 Feet length c) TWag wire 2) Cardas HPI-A (1/4" female to 1/8" male adapter, 6" length) Please check if you have received my online payment. Tachi. Hi, please verify that the Cardas HPI-A is for adapting a 1/4" female to 1/8" male adapter with Craig, thanks a lot!
  10. As my Marantz cd player taps the digital signal from iPod directly, I've diy a Cat5e cable to replace the existing iPod charging cable. Although I have read lots of people claiming that in the digital domain, cable quality is not important. The biggest difference is the improvement of soundstage and the bass response, the original iPod cable simply constraint the digital signal, no wonder the Wadia & Onkyo dock sells well!
  11. You have to do your homework prior to buying. City Electronics price is ok, looks like family business. By the way, ebay price is about US$1500, even from Hong Kong without shipment!
  12. I bought it from City Electronics, in Sim Lim Square. The price is in the range of $1100 to $1200.
  13. Hi, would like to check if anyone can recommend a good cable (besides Canare) and plugs, thx! Planning to solder it by myself.
  14. I got it yesterday, currently burning it. Sound is impressive upon 1st hearing. Really amazing for its price, especially the headphone output. The player is a 3 in 1 : a) It taps iPod loseless file and then convert using its DAC. You can even control the individual track on the remote control, however, album selection would have to be done on the iPod. SACD player by itself. c) It also has a USB input for digital, way to go!
  15. You will do that too, if you have about 400 CDs in your collection. Anyway, spotted Marantz K1 Pearl Lite, a very interesting cd player with an USB input. It is able to tap the digital output from iPod then uses the Marantz DAC to convert it to analog. So, this player serves me well, built-in digital dock for iPod, DAC conversion, very good CD transport (uses the same as the big brother K1 Pearl), then it also has a headphone output (although not the class as my Meier).
  16. I'm looking for a desktop cd player with analog out to my headphone amp (Meier Stepdance).
  17. I'm looking for a cd player (budget below $1200). It's meant to output to my headphone amp (Meier Concerto), driving Beyer DT880 (600 ohm). And I do not wish to use external DAC. My choice of music is classical and jazz vocal music. Sad to say that I've been looking around in Harvey, Best Denki, but nowadays, CD player is limited. Would welcome anyone giving some suggestion. Tachi.
  18. Hi, may I ask where can I listen to the Sciit Valhalla amp, thanks!
  19. Hi Mr Nobody, would like to check on the price for TWag (5") ipod LOD with viablue plug pricing. Thanks.

  21. Hi, I'm looking for a normal LOD (not iMod) and not low profile type. Regards
