Hmm, another interesting question is what if the DAP does not have the best sound quality like those from iAudio, iriver, etc, will an external amp help producing a better sound quality equivalent to those mentioned or it'll just simply give it a higher frequency?

Hi sghound, What is your opinion if a comparison is made between iAudio Cowon DAPs (D2, X5), Meizu DAPs (M6, M3), and the latest Samsung K3 in terms of sound quality with/without using their sound enhancements? What about their sound signatures? Thanks for the advice, i might be buying a new DAP soon.

Care to share with us why did u feel relieved of getting rid of it when u said its SQ is pretty good? Is it because it's HDD failed on u? or purely because the SQ is still below average compared to a dedicated DAP?

tassardar, would u consider the w950i's sound quality on par with mp3 players like Cowon iAudio? of cos without considering the crackles in between changing songs. any N91 users care to debate or at least share ur opinions?

Is it really true? It's funny coz what i've been reading from other forums and many places that they said Nokia N91 sounds better than most Sony Ericsson's handphone including the high series W950i. In fact, they even mentioned that N91 is the best among all handphones. Well, I'm not sure which one is true but i intend to buy a music phone in the near future. Could any Nokia N91 users and Sony Ericsson W series users verify on this? One last question, what about N91 vs N95 vs W950i?
