I will be hiting the roads via plane, road, bus etc from Sunday. Been wanting to go to Hung Bros to get a pair of portable can/ear bud but was too busy I am looking for a can or ear bud that is - portable - impt as I am travelling -prferably closed. Don't want to disturb people beside me and get hearing loss from prolonged high volume exposure - Better than what I have now - MX500 - Preferably something I can use while jogging and in the gym Again, I apologies for the rush. `Supped' it up~ For me, whenever I get a new car (not that I have change so often), I would spent the money on the performance rather than the exterior and looks. Exhaust, air intake filter, oil casket, groundng wire. These are good value for money to performace ratio. It makes the drive moreenjoyable. I was eyeing the Ford Modena when it first came out. Nice car!

What 's the difference between cable termination and connectors? I thought they are the same.

if I am using silver wire for both i/c and speaker cables, what material should i used for the spades and plugs? Silver, gold or Rhodium? Are there any rhodium plugs or spades selling in SLS/SLT? Are they any good?

I am doing up some speaker cables and interconnect. Wires use in interconnect are silver coated ones and in speaker cables are copper ones. I am looking for plugs and spades for them. So what are you guys recommending for them Heard that oems of Vampire plugs and spades can be found in SLT / SLS. Is that true? If so, where. Thanks

Its all about drilling and wires, and working in a confine space. Not much different from DIY, if you ask me. In fact I think some of the DIYers here would have good enough dexerity to match some dental and orthopaedics surgeons I know (and seen). Where do you practice?

If any dental caries develops, not to worry. My wife is a dentist! I am sure by now I have picked up some dental skills from her. I can DIY on your teeth with a drill!

Can the ear tip of ER4 or ER6 be inter-changed into a foam tip instead of the in-ear canal tip? Been told that the in-ear canal tip can cause irritating transmitted noises when the cable rubbed against the clothing. If can be interchangable, it will be best of both world. Foam tip for jogging and in-ear canal tip for travelling.

how big is the casing? Will your layout fit into a small mint tin box?

Have you tried connecting the cdp -> receiver -> Cayin ( via Tape out)? How's the sound on the cans using this? If this connection produces sound not satisfactory to your liking, a split RCA or split box might be your only choice. Another benefit (as mentioned by someone ealier) is your receiver does not have to be turn on while listening on your cans. If you are worried about introducing extra signals into your pathway, go for the RCA split cable. You can DIY a RCA split cable quite cheaply with belden cables. You can try that first and see if it works and if you like the sound. You might be surprised. I have not tried the split RCA cable before. Just a suggestion Let us know how it goes
