Don't be put off by its small size. It is baed on Class D amplification, so called digital amp. You would be surprise by its sound. Last year nearly want to get a digital amp setup from Spectron (based in US) Well, look at the following link for some info : http://www.thinkgeek.com/electronics/audio/6cd8/ The thread on Echoloft is Echoloft

Dont' have an account with Gmail 4. No amusing or interesting anecdotes to explain why I need it. All I can say is that I do need a large capacity file stoarge system on the web for easy internet assess from anywhere at work or home. I am currently using Yahoo briefcase for storage. I have to frequently delete files to make room for new ones. What do I store? Mainly documents and pictures. Pictures of my patients for research purposes, for showing to my colleages, for visual aids in discuss their management etc. Can't show you guys any of the pictures that I have due to confidentiality. That's my reason for wanting a Gmail. Also, admittedly, personally, it will be cool to have such a large email storage!

adhoc, how do you connect the 2 separate output to a normal computer speakers that only have a single 1/8 plug?
  16. ok I am goung with a copper termination with my copper wire for my interconnect. Does bullet plugs need soldering? Or can I just screw it on? Still trying to decide on the speaker plugs. Will report back.
  17. I am currently doing so. using my IPaq 4150 as a MP3 player. The price of SD card nowadays are so cheap. Just got a 512mb SD for about $150. You can use the money for a MP3 player to buy a SD card. That will save you some money The quality is ok. I don't expect much from a PPC. It is just a mean of music on the go without having to carry another device. A lot depends on the file format. With PPC, I can virtually use any format I want, eg MP3, WMA, ogg, lossless etc. Not restricted with a MP3 player format. Pair that with a good earphones and you are on your way. Believe me, a good ear phones or headphone play an important role. I am sure there are people around you who owns PPC or Palm. Try it for yourself. Only you yourself can judge whether the quality is good enough for you. Hope this helps
  18. What about running it through my soundcard? will that do?
  19. I am currently using a CDP which has an upsampling capabaility and a headamp output. Shanling T100C I hardly use the upsampling feature. You are welcome to my place to try it out. It has both a solid state and tube output. I for one wouild like to test your HD650 with mobius cable..... Let me know if you are interested in listening to my CDP. I can provide beer and whiskey.
  20. BTW, my many thanks to Mackie for organising the buy and running it in for me for the past week while I was away. Cheers mate. Hopefully we can meet up soon (maybe at the next SGH meet) and I will buy you a drink
  21. Right my 2 cents worth...... I just got my can from Mackie yesterday. But I was busy the whole of yesterday and still at work today. Only managed to tried it for a while (1 hr+) . The 650 is good. Better than anything I have tried. Not that I have tried a great deal. I am no expert in cans. My setup is mainly with speakers. Wanted to tried cans as 1) my curosity, 2) watched late night football in the room without disturbing my partner and 3) it is a new toy. So when the opportunity arise to purchase a top of the range can at what I think is a good price, I jump at it. I am currently running it through my Shanling T100 CDP headphone output. Compare to my speakers (the only reference I know well), I noticed 1) it is a tad bit bright at the high 2) as Mackie pointed out there is sibilance at the high mid range. 3) the 3D soundsate is good. 4) a tad bit muffled (again compared to my speakers) I put it down to my non-delicated output and the cans has yet to fully run-in. I will be getting a headphone amp to drive it. Also, hopefully I will have more time tomorrrow to try it further. Overall, it is a good value buy at $400
