Okay, latest update, the amp now works! But seems like there's some kind of distortion/clipping on my senns mx-500. But the problem doesn't surface here on my hd497

Ok just tested with my HD497, now that sound is gone, but I can hear a background static noise though. And it seems to be reverbing

Not really static, its like making music like "droot <pause> droot <pause> droot <pause>" My c1,c2 are 16V 470uF caps and I'm only using 1 9V power supply

Just re-did my cmoy. This is my 2nd attempt on it. So far, everything's great, I took extra steps to make sure I solder everything properly, and double-check for any short circuits. tropical: the new cmoy is able to produce equal sound loudness on both sides now but I'm getting some sort of distortion. Its like a continuous distortion even when I'm not inputing anything into the line-in.

I went to LHS today, they said they dont' have those cables. I went to alot of the shops around SLT asking if they sell these cables and they don't have it. Luckily, I managed to stumble upon this kind uncle at the Kaichin's Industrial shop whom took the time to help me diagnose whether its my left channel wire that's spoiled or the plug itself. We found out that the plug needs to be replaced and I bought the new 2.5mm plug from them, but now I don't know how to connect the wire onto the new plug. Anyone care to help?

Anyone knows where sells the cheapest replacement cables for the hd-497? Hung Bros quoted me $40 which is too damn expensive. Are there any cables that are meant for the hd-497 that can improve the sound quality? (like the clou red of the hd600)

Besides ordering for farnell\rs-comp, are there any shop in SLT that sells all the parts you need to build your own cmoy (according to tangent's guide). Also, where is this Tandy I see alot of you guys keep talking about?
