I was surprised too how a power cord could affect a system so much when I first tried an entry level audiophile power cord in place of the stock cable. Was told by an audiophile friend what a good power cord does is not "making" the system better, but more of removing the restrictions on the system to bring out its true potential...whatever that means...

I can't commit just yet...can only know nearer to the meet. Looks like it is going to be a big meet. Will offer to be a photographer if I am able to attend.

Hey...Congrats on the purchase. That's a great deal. Was tempted, but decided to give my rig sometime before more upgrades.

Was wondering if crystal balls with wooden stands would work...checked with a shop nearby my place, but they don't have stock. Each set of of half inch crystal ball and wooden stand is $8. So three sets = $24. Will try them when the stocks are in next week.

Buyer backed out. On sale again.

Ha, ha...yes, have been enjoying my music...can't wait to see what the wooden cups can do to the 650. Hey, you should try putting a couple of QR8s on the metal band...found that they bring out the mids on the 650, voices became more distinct and fuller.

Tried CDP, but seems to work better with the Novo (which has a grounding pin at the back). The Novo can't sit well on the conditioner if I put it at the bottom...perhaps a few 3M Bumpon could work, but since this is an audition unit, trying it on the top; seems to work as well.

I have a Taoc platform for my CDP, so will not need to build a plywood and tire platform...now, the easter egg holder and ballbearing sounds interesting...Cheap enough to give it a shot...now where to get Easter Egg holders...

...but isolation from vibration can be costly...
