The accessories look real good, as well as the look of the bose. I especially like the flight adapter bundle. Looks real professional though, guess u pay more for the look and accessories.

LOL actually some people say 70 sound better Some argue 71 is better in mid and high But 71 is out for me. The connection would weigh my left ear down. irritating. Guess I gonna stick with this player and this modded earphone and instead get a decent sound card (Creative Sound Blaster Digital Music) for my laptop instead of the "integrated sound card" which sounds real bad with my Altec Lansing 621. Creative 2nd warehouse sale is coming up... hope can squeeze in Cable microphoncis? whats that. Sorry still quite new here. what to expect out of a 15yo young kid like me?

Actually after thinking I still prefer EX70LP. But damn its not on the market anymore. I glued the 3 holes on my EX70LP current one, because I find that it will actually reduce the high a little making it less sharp, as well as the bass. I guess its because of my Creative Digital MP3 Player because I dont hear such irritating highs on my Sony portable analogue tuner with EX70. But I find the bass a little lacking now. I'm planning to get a new iRiver 180-TC soon and so will the irritating highs be gone, but the bass is now lamed. So I am thinking of getting another EX70, but damn Sony is not selling anymore! That means I gonna have to get another 2nd hand one! Why didnt they make something better than EX70? Instead make some crappy EX71 to replace EX70, when it looses out a little.

Hey, Wanna ask about the MDR-E888LP. How is the sound isolation like? Not so good as compared to EX70/71/51? If I am using it on buses do you still recommend it over EX51/70/71? 2ndly, prices and availability in SG. Where and how much? Also, how different is it in terms of audio quality from the EX70? Clearer high/mids? Lesser bass? Thanks.

Its not noise cancel. Its sound isolation Noise cancel is done delibretely by a mic which pics up ambient noise and send a equal but opposite sound to the earphone. Sound isolation is blocking out noise. The sound isolation is similar except 70/71 sound better.

Nah, audio quality wise people prefer 70. My advice: buy second hand. I tried covering the 3 holes of 70 and now it sounds more airy as well as brighter. The bass tighter a little as well. Now its on super glue.

Any shop to recommend with a wide range of soldering guns and reasonable price. Also any recommendations on soldering guns? I want one that is variable power (at least 2, 1 w/o trigger 1 w/ trigger, or 0W w/o trigger also can) Used for terminating cables. Hopefully can melt WBT silver solder well enough.

180TC I've seen at SLS. Skylet going for $270 190TC going for $345 180TC the price is exact when I went a week ago. 195TC around 500+ not so sure. Price range of iRiver at SLS around there.

A little out of topic here(considered source?), but anyone knows if Cowon System iAudio CW200 128MB MP3 Player is in SG and how much? How the audio output quality compares to iRiver 180-TC. What about in other aspects? Coz i read some reviews and also from CNET asia. Seems like very good.

Anyway if you are using an MP3 player I recommend the EX70LP: 1)the cord is 1.2m which is just right, not too long to get messed up badly in your pocket and not too short to reach your pocket. 2) no interconnections --> lighter cord --> little tension on left ear. When you have interconnections, and you walk, the interconnection is gonna bounce up and down, very irritating. Tension on left ear. 3)sounds the same, if not better. Some people claim ex70 is better, which i kinda agree. negligible however. 4) Looks cool. 5) Makes you unique since it is rare, or rather extinct from the market. But then again, I havent seen an ex70 new one before. (thats why i bought 2nd hand. Really worth it.). You saw it on Sony Singapore website right? thats outdated. 0.5m is not enough. I measure 1.6m and the cord is only enough to go to the opening of my pocket. aroud 2m at least for an average person to bee able to lift his head up with player in pocket, and still got very little spare.
