  1. Probably L/R: ADA4841-2. Will keep the LT6234 as the DAC for the time being. Might change the DAC: LTC6241HV & Buffer: LMH6643. Still considering whether i should get the AD797 and OPA627
  2. Can't wait for the adaptors. Decided to open up the D1. hmm... Inside they are using L/R: AD823 Buffer: NE5532 DAC: LT6234 Gonna change my buffer to LME49720 since that is the only chip i have on DIP.
  3. Maybe i will try that ... i am still on foobar2k + asio4all.
  4. Sorry ... never tried on a laptop connected to a lcd. Just using a Laptop with its own screen for me is ok. I did however encounter a problem while using the iBasso. My pc actually hang at some point but I found that the problem lies with the buffer for ASIO4ALL. Simply just increase the buffer size and everything will be fine. No more hanging after that.
  5. Working quite well with my office and home pc ... no noise on my monitor. Haven't really compare the sound between the adaptor and batt. On another note, i found that my batt can only last around 18hrs after a full charge. Gonna start opamp rolling soon... waiting for my adaptors to arrive.
  6. Check with you guy ... is there any difference between OPA627AP and OPA627BP?
  7. was afraid that the DIP 2in1 will be too big. But after looking at your pic .. hehe... looks like it should be quite easy to change without soldering.
  8. Nice!!! Whoa next time i do any Cap change ... i know who to look for btw you know where to get AD797 in SG?
  9. Another long burnin period for you ... i heard BG need quite a long time to burnin.
  10. Currently using Audio Technica M50 with my D1. What is the big mod you are planning to do?
  11. A female colleague of mine also bought the CK7 after comparing them against the Mylars, Sony and the DTX50.
  12. Yup ... i was looking for them. My colleagues got it for me LOL ... no wonder they suddenly ask me about headphones and stuff. so what will be your recommendation for gaming and movies @ that budget?
  13. I don't really know the differences between them cos i have never tried the A500. It is smooth sounding .. i feel the bass impact is sufficient for me. I got it as a present so i am not too sure about the price but bluetin is selling them for $159. Since Stereo has given his opinion about the M50... he should have them for audition. He is a friendly chap maybe he can advise you better. Stereo @ Causeway Point.
  14. You can also consider auditioning the ATH-M50. Easy to drive and accurate. Their build is similar to the v6. I think i read somewhere that they sound similar to the A700 but i think it is best you audition them.
  15. Nope ... didn't contact Justin. Saw someone commenting about it on Xin Forums. btw what is MOT thread?
  16. D2 seems to be iBasso D1 lite. Purely USB input without the extra input connectors ... coaxial, SPDIF.etc
  17. Just want to check whether we received the new/old D1. New Version L/R: LT1364 Buffer: LMH6643 DAC: LTC6241
  18. Nope. I am busy with my exams so i haven't started soldering. Hope to do it as soon as i finished my exams
  19. I wish headfi will get back up soon. Heard that Justin's pre-order list is on the headfi forum. Hope he got a list offline.
  20. all 10 cents donated to SGheadphones 2008 meets ... whoa that will be a lot How about lending out some gears for the meet? Easier for you ba...
  21. PPkiller: Check with you.. what is the stock opamp inside your iBasso D1? Have you tried the LMH6643 as buffer and the LTC6241HV for the L/R?
  22. Happy Birthday!! Did i heard birthday discount???
  23. Creative mediasource player? This is the first time i heard ppl recommending that. I already plan to re-rip my cd using flac ... but no time lah ... so listen to my old mp3. However, even mp3 i can hear some differences
  24. After almost 50hrs of burnin using stock opamp.. running through USB input Foobar2000 - playing 128~192kbps VBR mp3 Volume knob has never gone pass the 8'oclock mark. Bass has tighter up and the soundstage has expanded abit. Depth has improved especially for higher bitrate mp3 Can even pick up some background whistling for some live mp3 recording which i never heard before... haha Using the DAC, able to differentiate the harshness of lower bitrate mp3. hmm... should i start opamp rolling now
