some daylight shots at little india my home ground my take on the good camera bad photo...cheap camera good photo thingy... as long as you're enjoying what you're doing with the camera thats good enough for me, doesn't matter if the photo is good or bad, or if the camera is cheap or expensive. i treat it as more of a toy then a tool, its only when i hav fun with it will i get better at it

the people in SLS are quite "colorful" especially those dealing in cameras, i'll try to get more "victims" to pose for mug shots red_ryder, i think if i desaturated the mug shots, the background lights might not be as disstracting, they appear birght cause i used a large amperture to get enough light on the uncles face

i like the first pic and the colors of the second pic what were they actually doing?...what is cosplay?

the first uncle now works in "Bally photo" here he is giving his "bookie" pose the girl in the potrait series is the daughter of "Mega Snack House" towkay in SLS special MRT series i actually saw a very good shot today while waiting for the MRT, it was an indian/chinese girl who was looking very sad...before i took the shot i realise why she was sad the boy friend walked up and sat beside her i think they were arguing, i hav seen the girl before...she works in SLS too, i thought she was chinese until the guy spoke to her in tamil

nice Blues i like the SAX player shot here's a few more of my shots taken this evening the tiny shops in Bugis more MRT series "shoes" crop version "shoes" original version, this was another "blind" shot (without looking in viewfinder) its my fav shot, the girl sleeping on the left looks very sharp, but the framing was out because it was a blind shot

i think some people may hav misunderstood your pics jason if u hav the caps on the LM6171 position then u don't need the LM6171 opamp the LM6171 is another opamp that will take up the space, but its optional

i'm using imageshack now, i load the thumbnails in there too, use the direct link address for both thumb and actual pic, seem to work ok some shots with the 28mm sigma, i love what this lens is able to do under low light conditions my fren's hand those are real tattoos one more from my MRT series

$410 for the Sigma 28mm f1.8 my original budget is almost gone now its a big lens also a lot heavier then the kit lens, now i need one of those paded camera straps cause my shoulder hurts from carrying the D70 with the Sigma lens i think this is a good lens for street shooting, but i'll still bring along the 50mm cause its so small and lite the shots of the Bugis market and street performers were taken with the Sigma, ISO400 f-1.8 M-mode. one last pic from my MRT collection

the force of the dark side is so strong... N@Z, i intend to get a dry cabinet next any recomendations?

went to check out this lens today Sigma 28mm f1.8, its a big lens even bigger then the kit lens, has a 77mm lens tread, metal mount, focus ring does not move in/out when focusing (same as kit lens) comes with its own lens case, very well build, feels as good as the kit lens, going to test it with the D70 when i hav time

N@Z, did u get a chance to try out the Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8D ED (2.5x) lens? this is the older version without the "IF" which cost twice as much, the price quoted for the non "IF" version is about $1600 also considering if its worth investing in a wide angle fixed lens...28 or 35mm, maybe something from Sigma or Tamron, i like the 50mm and what its f-1.8 is able to do

me too, i used center-weighted metering for the shot.

i think this mono pod should be just below $200 not sure, 1 thing i don't like about the Manfrotto pod is that it does not hav a grove that guides the legs, i think this was the reason i broke my manfrotto. i did not notice that the "legs" got a little out of place when i was closing it, this cause the catch to over expand when i tried to lock it.

thanks Bram, i was trying out the 50mm len's 1.8 f-stop, i actually had it on manual focus and move the camera till it was in focus took this on my way home in the MRT station, still on the 50mm 1.8 f-stop, ISO400, A mode i took this shot without looking into the view finder cause didn't want anyone to know i was actually shooting the "uncle" in the shot was actually a "bonus" i wasn't trying to put him in the frame. did some color adjustment in PS the shot was also a little tilted, cropped and strighten in PC

thanks i used manual focus to get the shot, wanted only the "Denon" to be in focus also bought a LowePro LC-1N lens bag for the kit lens

when i was in Boat Quay last week, i saw a japanese guy (tourist i think) taking pictures with what look like this 2mp phone later went to Chinatown and saw the same guy again still taking pics he "sticks out" from the crowd with that phone/camera
