    Grado vs Grado

as someone who bought SR60s from MBD, i have to say that their service was good there wasn't the "hey kid, be careful with that piece of kit you're holding there" look a gentle reminder, they don't accept NETS, just cash or credit card

ALS-anti lag system think only group 'N' rallycars [& onwards] can use that system it would be prohibitively expensive & don't even think of going anywhere near a LTA inspection centre or the boys in blue a wicked idea no doubt, seeing spitting flames from car exhausts at your normal HDB neighbourhood road junction normal people would think that your car is spoilt or about to explode:)

agreed a turbo kicks in after roughly 3000rpm in this case saab can wind down the boost and go for a LPT "low pressure turbo" design easier than winding up a vtec engine to the heavens [5000+rpm] i've tried it in a civic esi b4, and although it sounds nice, its too tiring then again, saab may not do that, cos they're on a cost-cutting exercise here reducing costs by just changing the exterior to suit extg internals... that's what all car manufacturers do nowadays most blatant recently are the lexus rx300 / toyota harrier twins they don't even bother to change the exterior...
  6. whoa... thanx guys... haven't been surfing much lately damn busy but i'll try to make it for the meet

saw the pics it seems to be offered in "stationwagon" bodystyle only sigh...that type not very popular around here the saab brand is not that strong as compared with subaru over here maybe if its priced below the WRX unlikely, but since Aero version is around 220+bhp, its performance is not likely to trouble fuji heavy industries most precious baby me, i'm more excited by the fact that caterham cars are in malaysia, the closest to singapore than has ever been a bright yellow caterham 7 classic is good enough for me... just RM130,744, but of course that's with +++ behind it
  8. pulp @ substation street vs art http://www.pulpfest.com SITEX consumer electronics show http://www.sitex.com.sg/2003/ Creative Warehouse Sale [again] http://creativex.creative.com/promos/sale.asp?trackingID=14 singapore shorts short film presentation [this one, no website to confirm timing, so better call museum to check] 28/29 Nov 1930-2230 SHM @ Riverside Point
  9. not selling the sony radio & senn headphones for now... got some problem with my NJB3 FM remote so using my sony radio as backup for now i have amended the first post & title to reflect this
  10. buying creative? then wait for the warehouse sale 28-30 nov http://creativex.creative.com/ btw, if u don't mind the size, can consider NJB3 $399 online promo more functions than zen
  11. price drop to S$200 plus i'm selling other stuff too [thinking of buying shure e2 with the money, hmm...]
  12. then i suggest a flash-based player not even a HDD is safe in ur hands [jus joking] note that muvo2 has 2 versions the one i see in sg is the 1.5GB HDD type there's a sports type [yellow colour, like those sony sports models] that one is 1GB flash type http://www.nomadworld.com/products/muvo_2/ or maybe iriver iFP-500 series includes FM tuner http://www.iriver.com/product/info.asp?p_name=iFP-599T of course it will be more ex, in terms of dollars per MB want something simpler? a muvo nx? [hint, hint, heehee]
  13. can we have a e2c mini-meet? adhoc, is that ok? since there's quite some interest recently in our forum about these phones then after that maybe we can think about a powerbuy mentioned in another thread remember to clean your ears properly first b4 coming
  14. my 2 cts can try beyerdynamic DT231 closed light headphones for portable use price below $100 btw, how's the radio record function of the ifp-390? actually KSC55 is quite good, u should stick with them first and remember to allow time for burn in b4 thinking about replacement enjoy the music
  15. px200 tried them at the 2nd meet at pippee's place nice case [like a spectacles case] and folding design, but its a bit on the small side the cups rest on my ears instead of enclosing them, thus isolation is not that good compared to full size cans like V6/7506 or hd212 V6/7506 tried them at the 1st meet at rameish's place built like a tank supposed to have good bass [didn't notice it during the very short test] its got a coiled cord [like home telephone cord, some people don't like it]
  16. now you're talking [me like trance] btw sorry for the wrong info on the 2 driver thing did u buy from the internet site that u recommended previously? [me not keen on internet purchase but will consider if as u say it offers 2yr warranty and US$55 replacement]
  17. don't buy on impulse [the dealers must hate me for saying this] u haven't state where u'll be using ur phones [i assume its indoors from the selection that u have suggested] u also haven't state what equipment u'll be using the headphones with some headphones would perform better with a headphone amp comfort seems to be a priority the 2 senn headphones don't seem to be too popular in headphone circles my recommendations grado SR60 [open] grado SR80 [open] sony mdr-v6 [closed] sennheiser hd497 [open] these are all good headphones to start with what u should do is do more research [on the internet at least, www.head-fi.org is a good start] then slowly u'll should be able to make a wise purchase after reading thru this thread, i think we really need a FAQ for beginners
  18. i agree looks like the CD900ST [more expensive clone of V6] with its red sticker if so it looks like a good buy, since they are actually V6 one of the popular closed headphones
  19. e2c looks so cool, with its transparent look while e1c looks like a hearing aid with its 'flesh' colour something to consider since most likely one would be wearing them outside i visited the shure website and i think the major difference in sound is due to e1c having 2 drivers, as opposed to e2c having 1 driver seriously thinking of matching e2c with NJB3...
  20. selling at $200 http://singapore.creative.com/products/por...taudio/muvo_nx/ won it as a jackpot prize during Creative Warehouse Sale condition: new comes with Muvo NX 2 battery modules [blue and white] earbuds installation disc including creative mediasource quick guide AAA batt armstrap and case with clip round the back headphones that came with NJB3 [not in original muvo nx package] pm me if u are interested
  21. so how? if i want to buy e2c, are there other shops? can we go to main dealer? not keen on buying online [can't also, me no credit/debit card]
  22. i bought a NJB3 and FM remote was really crowded there'll be another warehouse sale on november 28-30 frankly, i think this will piss those retailers that sell Creative products those who can afford to wait will just put off their purchase till then not that i'm complaining [hey, i got a good deal from this sale]
  23. went to the shure website the e2c looks quite cool, with its transparent look plus its curled over the back of the ear, but me wear glasses... supposedly, the e2c need not go that far in the ear canal compared wif er6 [read on head-fi] price range roughly similar e2c 180 er6 235
