Duck-in-the-Box 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2009 (edited) Oops. lol. self clarified Seems like nobody like the copper =/ Edited November 15, 2009 by Duck-in-the-Box
XiaXueYi 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2009 I am also interested in how the copper wires would sound, compared to the silver ones. It would seem that from the wires, nothing less than overall improvement would be had, but I wanna see if the copper ones could add more bass quantity...? The LW3's IMO still need a little more bass. jyle 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2009 interested in UE silver cable, but is it gonna be stiff, like null audio cables?
kchew 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2009 I would expect the silver cable to be slightly stiff. The copper cable should be more flexible as it is multi-stranded.
muttonchop 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2009 kchew, any idea how heavy the silver cables will be? seems like someone mentioned about the wires looking heavy in the thread mm. yeah using it for your ES3X right?
kchew 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2009 I'll email Craig about the cable weight, and yes I'm going to use the silver cable for my ES3X.
jyle 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2009 i'd like a UE silver cable then, thanks.
Duck-in-the-Box 0 Report post Posted November 16, 2009 Some inputs i got from Craig. "Let me start out by saying that IMO, the SCSCag is one of the finest wires I have ever worked with as far as sound. Years of customization and hard work to pull this off. The TWcu has lots of development work as well. The SCSCag is very transparent with no detail loss. After 150 hours of burn in time, the bass shows off its command. The highs are brilliant with no roll off. The best part is the flexibility with other gear this wire has. The synergy matches almost everything which I cannot say for any other wire I have ever used!! One key additive is the blackness this wire has. Crazy... The TWcu best attribute is its command of the bass response. Very captivating and inviting. Excellent mid range voice. Male or female, the voice becomes more forward with great separation. After about 100 hours of burn in time, the wire starts to show that warmth that many customers talk about. I can go on for hours about this. The SCSCag is made from solid core so its more stiff than the flexible TWcu. After listening listen to the SCSCag, the stiffness of the wire is not concerning because the sound certainly makes up for it!!!"
