Have you tried it out using other equipment to see whether it is isolated to those particular songs only?

Have you tried with other source like a CDP?

Did you listen to music moderately loud during the first 50 hrs of usage?

Might be jitter. Clean the CD surface with a clean, antistatic, soft cloth before ripping it or use www.exactaudiocopy.de

exactly as lekguan said.

clicks, pops, brrps, shrsps (you'll understand when you hear them.. biggrin.gif ) are common on wavs ripped from dirty cds.

k i have no such problem now.

today is the 1st time in VERY long time that i actually lay back and enjoy music.

i realise how much the 'px200' grow.

I'm even able to hear sound/instrument that i've never heard b4 thru buds.

Just lay down and jack in.It sound really different.

The 'virgin' sound is 'whoa!'.feel some sort of surround.

Now is like 'double whoa!'

sound really good for all ranges.

then again i'm a newbie, never hear all other high end cans b4.so px 200 is my first and i had a really go experience with it.

Qns:other than the origin of the songs, do the player also make a difference?

One more thing, seeing all the talk about DIY amps.Wat does it really do?amplify the volume or the bass?Do seek guidance here.

Wat does burn-in really does?i did it.sound improve.wat really happens?

Thanks.

Take a small MP3 player for example, it can produce music but losing the detail as the internal power is insufficient to drive better quality earphone. By adding another powerful amplifier, the sound quality will improve significantly.

but if i encode at lower bit rate, with vbr,i'm already losing detail from original source rite?wont the amp amplify the 'missing details?

i use soundforge to see waveform to see mp3 at different rates, there's alot of difference in the waveform.

i'm jus analysing from a simple point of view.

but i do get what u mean and agree.

Yes, hence the argument for better source or better lossless encoding.

You can have all the technical jargon but what it all boils down to is what you actually hear.

Sort of, with a good setup, it actually makes u hate MP3s because of missing details you can hear with a CDP->amp or good soundcard. Sometimes distortion as well. Come on, if you rip, use WAV, lossless monkey audio (.ape) or lossless WMA.

BTW, anything along the road makes a difference.

i have no intend on the jargon(?).

but really i think is really up to individual whether which what they are hearing are good or bland.

thanks

taking my time to scroll thru all the threads.informative actually reduces the need to start thread on QNS myself.

one the more informative forums i've been.
