N@Z 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2004 You're welcome. Nice collection you're building there. Any plans for the 2 new tins?
tropicalrips 0 Report post Posted January 20, 2004 i want to build a Mint amp with volume pot, which i hav not done yet, cause the pots i hav now don't sound good, and i can't mount them properly in a mint tin most likely it'll be a buffered Cmoy with EL2001 buffers, somthing close to the mint meta, i still hav the Buf634 chips which i hav not try (no so8 to dip8 adaptors) this is my fav variant at the moment there's also the PPA in a tin project which is on hold, it'll be a difficult amp to build. PPA in Charlie Brown tins i think its going to need to be external powered i hav ask my mom whos going to Indonesia for holiday to look-out for more tins

N@Z 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 You can get them online. Shipping will not be cheap as it's all the way from the US. See the Mint Tin Afficionados thread for photos & links.
tropicalrips 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 You can get them online. Shipping will not be cheap as it's all the way from the US. See the Mint Tin Afficionados thread for photos & links. guess i'll hav to continue using the red/white Altoids for now, its the only one i can get locally don't want to make the amps with difficult-to-get parts, it'll make my amps too pricey. i really like the black Penguin tins
N@Z 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 Alternatively interested parties can buy the tins themselves then pass it to you to build the amp.
tropicalrips 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2004 yes, thats true makes the amps cheaper

augustineRS 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2004 Nice dude, where did you get that? It is actually a poker card holder. It comes with a removeable plastic mould that fits a deck of cards. Got it from my uncle who run a beer garden. I think gotta join some lucky draw by the mentioned company to get it. will wait for you tropicalrips=>amps factory
tropicalrips 0 Report post Posted January 23, 2004 it'll be a good case for my buffered Cmoy just need to wait for those volume pots i currently hav those 2 AA batt holders , similar to the Xin SuperMicro still looking for the power circuit to power the amp with 1 batt
N@Z 0 Report post Posted January 24, 2004 Just got these today. Nice eh? The cmoy amp is in the exact same tin as the Bunny Altoids tin. Sounds surprisingly good with the CD3K!
