i would recommend sony's mdr-v6 a.k.a mdr-7506 for portable dance headphones, even though i have both SR60 & E2

 

good bassy sound for house or in your case [i guess from your nick], trance

 

only problem is that they seem to be out of production

 

a second hand pair perhaps? they were in the S$150-200 range when new

then your choice is limited to e2 for your budget [actually exceeds your budget: costs about S$170]

 

provides good isolation, pity about the carrying case, which is poorly designed and is too small for the in-ear phones

 

noise from the cable rubbing against your clothes and your breathing is pleasantly absent

anyway, best thing is to try it yourself

 

since u are using it for portable use, you just need to bring your PCDP and your fav CD to test

The price is pretty good, perhaps you could give it an audition and decide whether it's for you. They should be fine for dance music, albeit a little bright. Portable use is possible since it is closed (i.e. isolation).
