SG is not DIY friendly. such a big toroidal tranny will set u back for around S$40. alps pot S$20. Are things really THAT expensive here? I know Farnell can be a little expensive sometimes but Koba and SLT are pretty reasonable, assuming you stay away from boutique parts. Things get expensive only if you are building an amp every other day or blowing/screwing things up and must buy replacements.
