av98m 0 Report post Posted August 25, 2005 On most recordings, the audible effects of crossfeed should be very subtle, unless they're the kind that actually has most of the music coming from one channel and the vocals from the other (I have a few like that) I find that crossfeed helps to reduce or eliminate fatigue during long listening sessions. Rameish 0 Report post Posted August 28, 2005 Obviously you dont like the marantz sound and dont seem to care too much about crossfeed. The alternative is 1) Change the amp 2) Change the headphones. Since you like detail changing the headphone is probably a bad move. You might wanna get a warmer sounding amp here - I dont know what DIY amp you had but a PPA with 627 should be just right. heck if you start liking crossfeed then you can even get one build with a crossfeed board.
