evo 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2003 i know it's sort of a step down from the SR60 i own but i needed a portable headphone, at a cheap price so i guess the lowest is the MX500 first comments the cable is a bit too short, but i can live with that also, i didn't know they were equal length i.e. u don't wear one end behind ur neck soundwise its much better than the non-descript earbuds that came with my pcdp
Sipher 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2003 why not spend $10+ more to get the koss ksc-50 or 55?? they r much better than mx500. unless u didnt want a headphone but a earphone.

WatCult 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2003 I think the mx500 is pretty good for the price of $25.
N@Z 0 Report post Posted June 11, 2003 The MX500 is the easiest to stow away compared to the others mentioned plus, should you need to use it in bed it will not be obtrusive either. If you don't need the inline volume control the more non-descript MX400 would have been better value. I've used it(MX400) on Xin's (Fixup) modified SRF-83 Pocket radio & it sounded absolutely great for an earbud. Never needed to use the bass boost as it had plenty of punch on its own. Plus should you lose it (like I did ) it's cheap to replace.
evo 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2003 come to think of it, the case was one of the reasons for selecting MX500 being able to keep them nicely in my bag
tee 0 Report post Posted June 12, 2003 Senn's PXC-250 is sexy and comes with a nice pouch with "Senn..."name on it. It offers full portability, including adaptor for listening on planes and has noise guard as shield. Pricewise, it is 10x more....sorrie forget the intended budget....just focus on its features.
