Rameish 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2005 Without mentioning what kind of music you listen to and whether you have an amplifier it's a bit difficult. Alternatives are the Grado SR-60 at S$120. There are also some low-end Beyer models to consider.
Guest acidash Report post Posted September 15, 2005 erm... usually i listen to soft music such as classical and sentimentals songs. hardly any rock type. no amp will be use. I'm connecting the headphone to the micro hifi or pc. thanks for the reply!
nakedtoes 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2005 Grado Sr60 would be a better choice
Rameish 0 Report post Posted September 15, 2005 Without an amp and with your budget - Grado SR-60 or a 2nd hand beyer DT-411 or DT-511. Check with Mackie if any new model Beyer fits the bill.
Mackie 0 Report post Posted September 16, 2005 (edited) With a $130 budget for a Beyer, I could only recommend DT231 which I use while on the move. Its upfront presentation and closed design suits outdoor usage very well. This model costs less than $100. Edited September 16, 2005 by Mackie
afbug 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2005 (edited) as mention in the topic. which 1 is better? my budget is ard SGD$130, any other recommendations? thanks! I have the 485, cost $30 more the a 465. The 485 have the laid back sound of the 497. I only heard the 497 before, dun own them. I think its as good or a little better than the 497. Bass extends a little more. Main diff is looks and materials. The newer 485 is more comfy and looks better but a little heavier. I guess the 465 is similar. I will be gunning for a SR60 soon. Where can i get them for $120? Edited September 17, 2005 by afbug
