Without mentioning what kind of music you listen to and whether you have an amplifier it's a bit difficult. Alternatives are the Grado SR-60 at S$120. There are also some low-end Beyer models to consider.

erm... usually i listen to soft music such as classical and sentimentals songs. hardly any rock type.

no amp will be use.

I'm connecting the headphone to the micro hifi or pc. smile.gif

Without an amp and with your budget - Grado SR-60 or a 2nd hand beyer DT-411 or DT-511. Check with Mackie if any new model Beyer fits the bill.

With a $130 budget for a Beyer, I could only recommend DT231 which I use while on the move. Its upfront presentation and closed design suits outdoor usage very well. This model costs less than $100.

thanks!

I have the 485, cost $30 more the a 465. The 485 have the laid back sound of the 497. I only heard the 497 before, dun own them. I think its as good or a little better than the 497. Bass extends a little more. Main diff is looks and materials. The newer 485 is more comfy and looks better but a little heavier. I guess the 465 is similar.

I will be gunning for a SR60 soon. headphone.gif Where can i get them for $120?
