Stereo_Electronics 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2005 Is there a difference between using a pirated and orginal version, i'm at Canada now and they are selling the CS around $780++CAD before tax and the upgrade around $199 i think, should i grab the orginal one? Or is it cheaper in Singapore?
idkfa 0 Report post Posted October 8, 2005 No difference technically. You get the same program. But you get additional support from Adobe if you get the originals and you also qualify for upgrades of course. Do not risk buying pirated versions if you are using them for commercialised editing works. ie, company. I don't recommend pirated versions for obvious reasons. Alternatively if you have a student friend, you can get the academic versions for way less the price.

You do mean the price difference for the academic to the retail version ye? May I ask if they are for your personal use or commercialised use?
Stereo_Electronics 0 Report post Posted October 9, 2005 I mean pirated would only cost around $10 when the orginal cost over $770 or more in SGD. It's for personal use.
Absolute0 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2005 Not exactly the most appropriate question to ask (we don't want others to see this board as piracy advocates), I think it's better to leave it to your own discretion (and sensibilities).
