jmilo 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2005 have you tried ripping your songs to 320kbps using aac or mp3? and try comparing the sound?
afbug 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2005 I believe MD will sound better than 320kbps aac or mp3. They're only slightly inferior to CDs with similar priced/performance equipment. Of cause with CDs, there are many high end quality players out there, so..... My trusty MDS-JB920 deck still working. MD walkman also still around but the gum batt spoilt liao. neutralzz 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2005 why not get a discman then
DiGdUb 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2005 because discman cannot put in pocket and cannot record and edit.
Mackie 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2005 MP3 format makes use of compression to reduce memory allocation. Any amount of compression will be detrimental to sound quality.
N3w_Typ3 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2005 WAhhaaa Finally got to hear the sound of a MD player ... from my friend ... we are comparing with the MP3 player encoded in 320 kbps ... rip from original CD ... but well some CD have copy control !! lolz. hmm it sounds better .... than MP3 player which is of cos .. zhong 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 that's why i can never get satisfied with the sound of my mp3 player tend to compare it too much with MD player... which i have been using for years but well... mp3 is for convenience sake.. size wise and ease of transfering songs so well... guess we cant have the best of both worlds
